Yeh cause its the same as leading with the knees
The point was you cannot strip a ball with your knee, it wasnt done after a try was scored, therefore the only other possible outcome is a loose carry/knock on.
Well done boys carry on talkin garbage

Hmmm, maybe u didnt catch on, but i was disagreeing with Geo. It was definately a no try

Oh OK sorry, straight thru to the keeper

Yeah ..after watchin a replay .No try….but hey fish n chip wrapping tomorrow

The real GF was last Saturday night.

Absolutely correct, last Saturday night was the Grand Final. I hadn't given that proposition much thought until the finish of today's game, when it became evident that the massive dose of luck enjoyed by Easts in the first semi and the poor selection of venue, has now hurt us in a most significant way.

Very disappointing first half by Easts, with massive field position and a small yield of points. Saints were just mechanical in the second half, focused on a high completion rate and the usual excellence of the Soward kicking game. The outcome may have been slightly different on a dry track, but messrs SKD and Aubusson were'nt hitting the holes that they normally do. This is the game that proved beyond any shadow of a doubt that Gasnier is a myth

I dont care what anyone says we were the 2nd best team in the comp where the true runners up and Im ready for a big year next year!

I think we were the best team. Dragons only beat us because the ref made some very big mistakes towards the end of the game. We should have won it this year.

wake me up when the game is over, the ref handed the dragons 2 trys 1 missing Morris was in touch and 2nd when Perritt was pushed into the back, thanks refs for putting this game into snooze control

btw dragons get a penatly for knees in the back and we dont last week?

well done NRL and the refs you planned the most boring grand final ever for the dragons to win it

The push in the back was nothing. Dragons first try was no try, but Roosters first try was no try. Yes the ref's are a disgarce, but the best team won.

The Rorters first try was a try…stripped in ther act of scoring is play on....

LOL at Golden for someone who didn't give a ...he sure knows all the dramatic moments

I didnt really care but I hvae to put up with stupid dragons fans now gloating and now I cant use the line that we won in 05 and they still havnt won for 30 years anymore now

I feel your pain Golden!

By the way im surprised no one has mentioned the knees by Minichiello in the back of Nightingale when he scored one of his tries. Straight away I thought it was going to be an 8 pt try just like the Gibbs incident last year.

But I guess when your name is Minichiello and the player doesnt stay down injured its ok then….

This year's final series was yet another example of how stupid the McIntyre System is. Nine games, but only ONE of them featured two teams in the top four. I think that's all that needs to be said.

once again the dragons kept their opponents scoreless in the second half. all season they have been the best defensive team. they are the premiers for 2010.
no use dwelling on what might have been, because it won't change anything. :unamused:
just look forward to next season.
first off lets just support/encourage wests-tigers to finish in top 8, hopefully top 4 and go from there. 😛ray:
maybe the footy injury gods will smile on wests-tigers for season 2011\. :wahoo:

Did any non-Dragons fan enjoy watching them get handed the premiership? Who was entertained? Once again, rugby league is the loser thanks to abysmal and inconsistent adjuticating - on both sides of the park. This grand final did nothing for the game and nothing for convincing non-rugby league fans that rugby league is a great game.

What made it even worse was the hyperbole from the commentators who just so happen to be mates with current dragons' players' fathers.

As for the Dragons, they don't need the hand-outs. They don't beat their opposition, they don't let them win. Now that they've won the premiership, maybe the refs will choose a new favourite team to help to the GF.

I didnt watch the game and I have heard there was a few poor calls which have made me chuckle… :wahoo:

I'm still not convinced we have the right structure or finals format which rewards the best teams in the comp throughout a season. But at the end of the day, I believe the Dragons have been the best team over the past 2 years and its great to see thier hard work on and off the field has now been rewarded. I'd hate to see the Tigers win 2 Minor Premierships to not win a Grand Final. It simply doesnt make sence...

Congratulations to Wayne and his Troops.

Better team won. Roosters had a great year, but fell at the final hurdle. As much as I hate the Dragons, they deserved it, best team all year by a country mile.

sorry mm but i cant agree … the dragons needed all the help they could get from the imbo's with the whistle last week to get over the tigers. its a bit difficult to judge teams as best all year etc when not all teams play each other twice. eg; the tigers have only played the gummy sharks once for the past two seasons. as for the gf it must surely rank as one of the most boring on record. unless you followed the gragons there was nothing to get excited about except for the usual ref errors and blunders. the 3 stooges all played their part in providing comment like the two deliberate forward passes not penalised, the touchy missing morris sidestepping the fence and advertising barriers as threw the pass inside just before the first try, botd in the double knockon in dean youngs try, deciding not to penalise offside this week when the refs blew the pea out the whistle last week against the tigers ... give me a valium, its all too much !!

It's amazing to me that no one in the media has really made a big deal of how important the touchie's stuff-up on that first try was. If they get it right the Dragons most likely go in at half-time down 8-0 or worse (if Carney had brought his kicking boots). I couldn't believe they missed it as it looked obvious even at full speed that he had stepped on the line. Another reason why the rule that says the video ref can't go back more than one play when reviewing a try is stupid.

All a bit anticlimactic, really. (yes, just like everyone else said)

It seemed like the Dragons were doing everything they could to choke in the first half. Then the Roosters finally got frustrated in the second half and threw the game away.

I did laugh when I saw the dragons fan with the banner "Hunt for Red October". Thought it was pretty clever…

The dragons were top of the table from very early (round 6-7 I think), that's a pretty fair indication they were the best team.
