Wanted - Secret Weapon

I think we have to look at giving fifita a bench spot now.Given the fact that alot of our attack is generated by chris lawrence i dont think we can replace him with a similar player in our club.Id look at 4 fowards on bench with fafita playing 15min a half to try an break up defences.Id also like moltzen to retain his spot at fullback mackinon is running on old legs and is prone to brain explosions.Stick mitch brown in centres for this week and maybe if lote comes back he can play in centres an swap with beau during games to give him a spell while he picks fitness up till lawrence comes back

If Fifita was playing well, he would be an awesome bench weapon….sadly he has been MIA for the last few months, does anyone know if its an attitude problem or is he struggling with an undisclosed injury?

If he got a rocket up the arse and played out of his skin the next few weeks, he would mount a great case to play finals footy....he may not get another chance for a few years haha!

Tedesco soiled himself in the Dragons NYC game.

Not faulting his ability but it is a symptom of his youth. Same with Sironen. They are excelling at a level where the mental and physical pressures are not the same as NRL or even State Cup.

A very big difference than a forward who can be blooded in spurts.

Now is the time for consolidating combinations and keeping "in system" players.

Not to mention we have a second tier cap that would already be stretched.

If you want someone to come in and make a massive impact straight away the only 20's player that could be is Marika Koroibete. He'd become a cult hero in a week.

Couldn't agree more, this kid is special!

Groat or Simona are the only two who I think will be in with a chance.

As mentioned, Fifita could be a big X-factor. Still has the record of most number of tackle breaks in the team. He has four weeks to prove it to himself and Sheens that he has the attitude and fitness to to win the premiership wih the Tigers.

Therein lies the problem unfortunately.

Graot, Simona, Mullaney. IMO if he is not injured Mullaney would grab this last chance with both hands.

You don't believe he has the fitness and attitude?

Nope, I don't believe he has the attitude at the moment, which is why he is playing State Cup.

I didn't see that..whatever it means.

Tedesco had 5 dummy half runs for 43 metres the most in the team. Next best was Koroibete 5 runs for 19metres.
If some of the forwards who are supposed to be taking the ball up got in and did the same we would be unbeatable.

Moltzen had one dummy half run..which is one more than usual and gained 6 metres.

Sironen in for Lawrence?

Seriously.

Sironens coach is not even convinced he will play first grade.

Josh Davis for mine.

I just put that out there for discussion.

Seriously he doesn't think he will play NRL? Geez that's unbelievable Sironen to me looks a certainty to make the jump!

I dont think he is the answer in the halves. Take the name away from the bloke and he is the same as any other good U/20's ball player.

He has a fraction of the Talent that Robert Lui had at the same age. I would look at him as developing as a Lock personally.

Agree 100%. This guy is ready now. Put either Ryan or Brown into the centres and unleash our second flying Fijian. Yes he will make some mistakes but this guy can play. If Benji puts him into space I doubt any NRL player will catch him.

I thought Sheens has a high opinion of Curtis, I am sure the papers a few weeks ago were talking about moving Benji to full back so that Curtis can play #6\. That story would have come from some one in the club. For mine I would never move Benji from the halves but I am also sure the coaching staff at the Tigers are convinced Curtis will play NRL.

I imagine Marika will be a direct replacement for Lote after 2012.
