As i have posted multiple times before, this bloke has spent close to 14 seasons in control of our RECRUITMENT and RETENTION and salary cap management and has always escaped the axe while watching coaches and management cop the bullets. When sheens was removed he was to be moved on as well and somehow survived and took virtual control of the football department that Mick Potter was handed.

So as he sits with his fourth coach in the box and we lament while watching austin play well the Adam blair fiasco the embarrassing Tedesco debacle or the signing of his son TWICE we should all wonder how he has a job and never had his position refreshed, especially in an area that the club is so poor at managing.

The reason is that WT is probably one of the most unprofessionally managed clubs of the past few years. Unfortunately the situation does not seem to have changed during 2015, new board or not.

I thought he only looks after junior recruitment? Last year we gained Jacob Liddle who was chased by Manly and looks like an outstanding talent. Let's see who he comes up with this year as our junior recruitment has been good.

The blow torch to me is on Taylor and his ability to attract top talent.

Like Paws above I thought he has been only involved with junior recruitment since 2012 (Sheens last season). So can't really blame Austin, Blair and the Teddy saga on him really. Funny to think he is or longest employee now though.

He is in charge of the NRL squad as well as junior retention. His role was under scrutiny when Sheens was removed because Sheens told the club he should go. Humpty said he would be demoted and he would only look after junior recruitment but this was a lie and nothing changed. This bloke has been blessed with junior talent from both sides and has no claim to fame. Let me repeat he is in full control of the retention and recruitment and Should be held to account at a minimum or sacked as the record speaks for itself. As much as i dislike Mayer he is another who has been scalped by the big Mac when the blowtorch has been applied by management due to poor results which are hugely dependant on this imposter!!

Yep! let's blame JT for this as well.

Oh! by the way it was JT's fault last game that the Hot Dog man ran out of dogs!!!!

You see him in the Coaches Box during NRL Games, so maybe he is back pulling the strings?

While I've heard him being disruptive to the club plenty of times, his 20's make the finals consistantly?

Underground connections no doubt, like Uncle Nick.

Ftr, I think Milky should be our new recruitment officer - have you ever seen his team lists? Awesome!

One of life's biggest mystery's players coaches CEO's come and go yet this incompetent still has a job.

Mcdonnell only looks after junior development. Phil Moss looks after the NRL squad although apparently it was David Kidwell who met with Mahe Fonua.

That's the first mention of 'JT' in this thread russell.

I know but can't he be blamed for recruiting players and releasing players and everything else as well?

He's taking it in the neck for everything else he can't change - why not this as well.

We've seen Prince and Ellis arrive under Sheens plus Austin and Taupau under Potter. Do you seriously believe it is not Taylor's role as the top coach to attract the best talent? I also consider it his role to retain it as well eg Te Maire Martin. This will be a litmus test for him.

Personally I am not blaming him for anything. Most are.

He cannot attract anyone or keep anyone if he doesn't have any coin. It has nothing to do with "is it not Taylor's role as the top coach to attract the best talent?" - with what?

Martin probably does not want to stay with the people in front of him - although whether he does or doesn't / whether he has been approached or not is all hearsay from what I can see. If we cannot afford him, if he wants to go for a better opportunity - it is another case of Austin, Koro and Thompson. You can't and should not keep people who want out - they will not give you their best.

As you put it - it will be a litmus test for him when he has coin to buy and retain. At the moment there is no test other than his and our patience.
