Was Dwyer's hit high??

He hit him high, but JWH fell into the tackle. I would have hated to have lost the game because of that hit (because he fell into it) but he got him on the chin. Not report worthy though, glad they didn't call it back.

Its how i saw it too…..but if its not a 1 point semi final... in the final minutes of the game.... IN FRONT OF THE POSTS - its a penalty every day of the week.
The score, the time the importance of the match and most importantly the field position played more part in the refs decision than the action itself.

Another instance of refs putting the whistle away

Great hit and deserved to win it for us....still cant believe we let that get away

it was a good tackle in finals footy.
fitted well into the game.
would like to see it happen again in games to come.
was good to see Dwyer smash him, and make JWH ( Jared Watchmy-Headcave) realise there are two teams playing, and expect to get belted.

Haha youre funny when youve been on the turps, you have a sense of humour…very good, keep it up

bollocks - I'm glad you're not my lawyer!

the initial contact was beneath the kneck-head!

and he never fell into the tackle - he went down in the impact of the tackle and copped a secondary shoulder on the chin after the initial chest impact!

u must have been watching a different hit

Initial contact was head cause he fell into it..

Best hit since Sonny Bill williams on that penrith player

I dont think anyone can judge untill The Bug has his say…

Dwyer the new Pillow monster...

The hit deseved a better finish...

**That was the greatest hit I have ever seen in Rugby League. It was great.

It was Legal and it was lethal.**

A great game by Dwyer.

I will take my serving of Humble pie.

Hadlee and co. are saying it was a penalty, and the ref did not blow a penalty (from the scrum) as a result of not awarding a penalty to the roosters in the first place…

They kept showing footages of that hit continuusly and then the faces of Dwyer, Farah and Beau. Dwyer looked so anxious and vulnerable that I started laughing. But Beau and Farah just went on him and the looks on their faces after that hit was priceless.

Even Hargreaves was shocked, but regards for him, he took the hit and kept smiling coz he knew he had been hit by a truck.

With his knees bent and his body at an angle, to me it seemed like Dwyer was aiming for JWH's chest. It was just bad luck for JWH fell into it. Had Dwyer been standing upright well then that's a different story.

Not high at all.. Video red ds everything he could to try and give the rorters a penalty bu it was just simply the hit of the year! Well done dwyer.. If we had more brains that was a match winner!!

Despite all the arguments about the Simon Dwyer tackle (and I thought it was the hit of the year), the fact is there should never have been a scrum set. After the tackle the ball came loose and Dwyer picked up the ball cleanly and ran up field with it. Therefore it should have been play on and the Wests Tigers would have had possession. Hayne got that wrong too.

With u fibro 100%

Lucky i could not find a bottle last night or hayne would have been wearing it…...............................

I still cant believe it!!!!!

it was a great hit and as Fibro said, it shouldn't have been a scrum to begin with as Dwyer picked it up cleanly…from memory at least he picked it up cleanly

Compare it to the cuddle Ellis gave to Carney which saw him go on report, and compare the reactions from the refs.
Welcome to your TV product, which is what the game is now.

Totally different, Ellis hit Carney in the head with a swinging arm.
Dwyer launched at Jareds chest and as he braced himself, the rooster lowered his head into Dwyers shoulder.
