Watchful Tigers keen to snare Blair

Now that Snowden is staying, do Cronulla really want to over-spend on any un-proven Forwards?

They should throw big money at a Hooker and another 6/7 to settle thier squad…

Fifita will go to the Sharks, IMO. They have money to spend and they need a prop given that Douglas is gone.

Personally I will be VERY disappointed if we lose him, though we still would have BMM (who will end up a great player) and the arrival of Blair (who is still young) should make up for the loss.

Could be on the money there Hybrid. While the club rates both players highly, I think they have bigger wraps on BMM than Andrew at this stage, plus we've still got the likes of Woods, Roqica, Begovich and Groat coming through who all look to be future first graders.

As T-REXX said, it's unrealistic to be able to keep them all.

Yes my worry is Moltzen or Lui they will be chasing

Suppose the big question is . If we lose one which one would you want to lose BMM , Fifita or Woods ???

I'd choose Payten before all of them but he's still under contract, so I'd choose BMM.

He's got a lot of potential, but he's unproven in first grade, and in the u/20s Woods and Fifita were more dominant than BMM IMO.

Well, Lui is he until the end of 2013 and Moltz is here till 2012…

Cant see the club releasing any of those 2.

Moltz more likely to go to Bears but i cant see him leaving Tigers.. Lui wont be going anywhere i think

From what ive been told Blair has already signed with us with 3rd party deal or something, hasnt been announced yet by the club though but im confident we got him.

Would really hate to lose any of these 3 but if we absolutely had to for mine it would be Fifita. Just have a felling that the other 2 will go better but could be wrong.

If I was Humphreys I'd tell Blair he's got 24hrs or we're pulling our offer. I wouldn't want to be a safety cushion for anyone. He's had long enough to think about it now. Sign now or never.

Hes not thinking about it….its clear he wants to stay at Melb...but...
....so what if we are his second option?
It happens all the time with the cap.
Ask Liam.
We arent really in a position to be making demands

I'd still force his hand. He'd probably do the safe thing and take our offer instead of hoping things work out for him. That's what I'd do.

I say stay in the race. If he comes he comes. If not at least we tried and made Melbourne lose more of their salary cap.

if were playing the way we should Blair would sign in a heartbeat, also consider we do not have a signed coach in 2012 and beyond why would he put pen to paper. I say he is smarter than us all, why would you wanna come to the tigers when the performances have been inept and Melbourne have been solid, I'd take less and stay with Melbourne and I'm sure that's what he will do. Our performances ultimately will determine if a marquee player will sign not always about the dollars.

Though it would be good to have someone with mongrel for a change we need an enforcer
