Great from our end but why would Penrith want to have Packer and ET. What on earth does this offer them? It doesn't solve any salary cap issues for them and there not exactly getting 2 good players

Culture...Vordamort style..

I would have thought this too crazy to be true. Our reject forwards getting a run at Penrith? Then again, Tim Grant has been one of their best.

It's bizarre considering most of us have been envying their forward pack for the past few years.

ET would be a good role model and leader for them and to be honest he'd probably offer more on the field than the likes of Liam Martin or Frank Winterstein who they're trotting out at the moment...that Isaah Yeo injury has definitely hurt them.
I think this trade has zero chance of happening though.

With the foxsports article earlier in the day, it makes 3 clubs wanting dwz. Cowboys, eels and us. Cowboys can offer him fullback roll us and eels offering centre

@TYGA "Mbye will go to 5/8 next year" ?????

Reynolds is a much better 5/8 - in fact I would say twice as good.

Did I miss something, did Madge say he was going to 5/8 and Reynolds will be shopped?

I would say this is only your opinion as my statement is mine.

I can’t see Reynolds keeping up with NRL he has been injured for almost 2 full years dating back to the Bulldogs. Mbye is not having a good run atm but you can’t have a player injured that long paid big bucks with their body failing and expect the club not to put pressure on. Great player when fit but we are now talking about 2016 before he had a great season.

They can have Clarke back

Clark as in Kent ya dope....I wouldn't be turfing him good young prop ..cheap..and maturing..

So DWZ big issue is he isn't getting a run at fullback at Penrith

So what happens with Mbye but more importantly what happens to Thompson at fullback .......

@happy_tiger i dont think FB is the issue its made out to be just dont think he is happy but also Penrith have too much money invested in wingers between him and Mansour and as such will see 1 of them move along

1. DWZ
2. Thompson
3. Marsters
4. Jennings
5. Nofoaluma
6. Mbye
7. Brooks

Wouldn't mind that Layout, maybe Mbye at 9 because he has shown time and time again at the bulldogs he isn't a dominant half.

@Demps yep it has some merit. Swap Nofo for Isaako in 2020 and its looking better with a little more speed and a goal kicker.

DWZ was one of four selections for last years Golden Boot yet plenty on here don't think he's good enough for our reserve grade backline?
Says it all really.

I will be happy with who ever Madge Signs..... he is a great coach and i have 100% faith in him to make the best possible conditions for the club

We've already tried Jennings at centre… doesn't work.

I agree, Jennings was poor in the centres

@851 I would be interested to see how he goes after a full off season in that position. Agree though, that he hasn't set the world on fire there this year
