We are changing; for the better. It's tough now, but the right decisions are being made to undo all the previous bad management.

I think you are misguided at best.

You cannot build a successful team by letting players go without adequate replacements. Recruitment for next year was pretty much done before last Christmas. We are weakening our roster.

Our coaching appointments were a mistake from the time Sheens was allowed to appoint himself. It has not got any better. Farah & Heighington while club legends had no coaching experience and are not the sort of assistants you place around a rookie coach. That is not a rookie first grade coach, but a true rookie who has next to no coaching experience at all.

Players are not buying into the smoke and mirrors. The experienced players are going backward and the young players can't wait to get out of the place. Meanwhile we do not have a home ground next year.

We are a club without an identity (other than a running joke), no soul and no idea.

Youre tainting new management with the decisions of old.

We havent let go of anyone except Papali, who hasn't lived up to expectation.

As for Stef, if he goes, we didn't have a choice. Previous management negotiated a horrible contract.

And I don't think we had the ability to pull in the RIGHT assistant coaches at the start of 2024, there was too short of a runway before the season started.

I have it on good authority the young players genuinely believe they can turn the club around.

European Soccer clubs lead the way for professionalism; you know what they do? They loan out their players when they are having a rough patch.

Good teams in European Football loan out young players that can’t make their top squad to get some experience …. They tend to get rid of experienced , highly paid players going through a “rough patch “…permanently..

Agreed. But I think we have unique circumstances; Bateman isn't going to get any better playing in a team that is struggling like we are this year for Season 2024. We lose nothing from it and gain an extra $100k in the cap. Maybe that's being used to keep Stef? Who knows.
I believe Bateman will be back, just what I've heard.

We could relocate... yes.. the English league.. we would have a chance to make the 8. Would we merge with Castleford? Love it when people think outside the box..

Ill wait to see if anyone can be brought in for next year but as it stands the recruitment and retention in an already thin forward pack is a disaster. 3 NRL quality players lost and 0 signed is the score at the moment with very limited options on the market.

Really?

1. Bula (he is improving in a team that hasn't been attacking well).
2.
3. Olam (proven, just needs to get over injuries)
4. Douhei ( he is playing well).
5. Tuarva
6. Galvin
7. Luai
Olam needs a knee op and Doubie is possibly in the top 3 worst defenders ever and is definitely one of the worst in the NRL currently, proven by his current minimum contract, he is so shite not even a vampire manager wants him.
You take those two out of that line up and @Eternal Tiger is correct.
Actually no, you can leave Doubie in there as taking Doubie out only improves the side.
Anyway we need at least two more NRL starters in the back line and at least two NRL starters in the pack and if mighty boy goes one needs to be a prop pack leader type.

Bateman is no loss ,,should never have been signed to begin with ..but the problem is this half pregnant thing they are doing with this temporary “release “… let him go completely…or play out the rest of the season here ..it’s only 7 weeks …

Doing what they are doing is a terrible look and just giving the media more ammo to ridicule

I call this blind optimism.

We added Luai and Turuva, but offset that by losing Papali’i and likely Stef.

Galvin is the only young player to announce himself as a future star and he wants out.

Really?

1. Bula (he is improving in a team that hasn't been attacking well). - second year syndrome, brought back to being average fullback in any team this year.
2.
3. Olam (proven, just needs to get over injuries) - big IF
4. Douhei ( he is playing well). - Cant tackle to save his life
5. Tuarva - unproven
6. Galvin - Good enough for a Tiger, doubt he would be starting in any other team this year. Second year syndromoe coming up
7. Luai
Starting line up is very very unstable, the 2nd tier depth is extremely worrying.

Forwards are non existent.

5 wooden spoons coming up

The changes we required only happened in 2023/2024.
So yeah, patience is required.
Everything before now has been stop gap solutions.
They are actually focusing on getting the foundations right.... which is what I personally want so we are a long term success as a club.
I hope you're right and I admire the positivity... But benji gives me no confidence.
Youve been around here long enough MTD... we've all read these posts for years and years.
They've sucked the enthusiasm from me... When I see media laughing at us... When it's become tiring to admit I'm a WTs fan because yiu know the shit that comes next... Hope yiur right
