We are screwed

If I was recruited by the Tigers I wouldn't want to go there either in the current state. That's why it's going to take a while. They need to build something players want to go to first.
That's been the problem for the last 8 years and 3 rebuilds since you know who came onboard. Until Pascoe and his hip monkey Lee piss off, nothing will/can change. Laughing stock of the league, in particular player managers.

Weve lost first 6 games and now our weak backline has lost Douehi and Naden so we are down on troops .We mainly need 2 quality centers . In the short term all I can think of is
Tommy Talau was a reasonable center in 2021 but he's had 1.5 games since not enough of a sample size to know if he can get back some form or not . I hoping he can
I already posted that nobody in the cup side can help ! Well a small correction I thought Saukuru was clearly the best of an ordinary lot . Dont know Nrl is another level but some hope there . AJ is a bench relief 2nd row not a center . Toa is a winger not a center
By the way Laurie had apart from first 10 mins a strong game in cup . He can definitely play Nrl but with Staines a lock at fullback not sure where he can fit in
I agree with you re Saukuru.
I was pleasantly surprised with his running game.

Yep, the injuries to Doueihi and Naden are catastrophic in the circumstances. This is what I wrote in the game thread;
Neither the Wakeham/ Brooks or Brooks/ Laurie combinations in the halves instill much confidence. I'd consider Koroisau/ Brooks as the new pairing because Api showed a lot of playmaking ability yesterday. In the centres, I'd persist with AJ and promote Reilly for his defence. Toa can stay on the wing but only after a lesson on marking up in defence.
And I'll add....please not Talau. He just doesn't cut it. Can't tackle, can't beat a tackle, butter fingered.....simply not first grade standard.
*Yes, Saukuru showed a lot of tackle busting ability in KOE Cup. The Tigers should really try to develop him.

People are quick to condemn players ...Wakeham came to us late and missed a fair bit of preseason with the team,he has had very little time to settle in get to know all the squad, showed some great skills in the trial, can kick goals and I believe he is here because of Api a premiership winning 9 on what 3 occasions who played with him and can see what he has to offer in the halfback position....
Lets give him a bit more than what he has been given so far to see just what he can offer...
How about we put him in the #7 and Brooks in the #6.

I know they are only numbers but tell Wakeham it's his team and tell Brooks just to run.

Not saying that it will be a success but at least give the guy a couple of games, this bullshit about constantly chopping and changing players and positions is a dead set joke.

If Wakeham is there and kicks the goal that Api missed, it's a totally different game, and I have to ask why didn't Brooks take the kick when Api hasn't kicked in years, at least Brooks has had some recent success.

Reilly? He doesn't stand out in NSW Cup.

Naden gone for an extended period, Doueihi likely gone for the season.

For the foreseeable future we are likely to see Wakeham or Laurie in the halves.

Likely To’a in the centres with either Nofa on the wing or Staines getting moved there with Laurie to fullback.
Two of our better attacking players...and probably our best general play kicker... An area we've really struggled with... Things just got a whole lot tougher
