And if we do our Premiership odds will go from 20s into the single digits in one swoop.

Lets face it we have had a bludger of a season, a typical Sheens season of selection howlers, wild form swings, injuries, undeserved wins, and awful defence. However you can almost smell it. Marshall is starting to get his swagger back. Our forwards are all on deck. We are a momentum side. Our confidence is affected wildly by our winning or losing streaks. Saturday night was a classic Tigers "at the start of their run" win. Grinding it out against a poor side because they had to win. Despite our reputation of being flashy we have won a lot of close games over the past 3 years when we needed to go on a run. Canterbury will probably drop one before the finals and we have to make it us. Were due against them.

I don't wan't to here anything about brave losses, or keeping it close. Man for man i think he have a class edge over them. Now we need to step up and show it. If we win on Friday our confidence will soar. Like I said it's been a bludger of a season and all the negative press in here has been justified. However it's the NRL, not the premier league. It's about timing your run, and having your swagger at the right time.

Of course we could get belted and then in all reality that would be us done for the year. If were going to offer anything this year we will win on Friday night, simple as that.
 
I don't know Eddie, our defence will have to undergo a massive turnaround. Teams still get through us way too easily, but otherwise you're right, they are looking heaps more confident in attack.
 
If we are going to be a contender we MUST win this game

My concern is every top side we have faced has really given it to us and Benji and Robbie haven't stood up

It is time to stand up , no excuses will be accepted by anyone
 
We're a chance. If Broncs had gotten over dogs no way, but there due a loss and we normally aim up against the good teams

Our defence would want to do a 180.
The dogs are leagues ahead of us, they are beating all the top 8 teams we are beating cellar dwellers.
That said i think this will be a high scoring affair like the last game and if we can contain Barba and unleash B Marshall anything is possible.

The Broncs will upset Melbourne next week i feel it in my bones so we need this win the dogs only want it.

I'll be happy if we get close to them. What worries me about the Bulldogs is Ben Barba. He's the most dangerous broken field runner in the game and is scoring tries on a regular basis from anywhere on the field. Given the Tigers missed tackle stats, and the fact that Barba set up a couple of tries against the Tigers, I fear he will be the deciding factor in this game.

Massive test for the Tigers defensively. If they can shut Barba down, I think they will go a long way towards winning. Attitude and focus will be key this week.
 
I've got a pretty good feeling, but we have to play for 80mins

if we switch off even for 5-10mins Barba or Morris will strike

Completely agree with this, if we are any hope of making an impact in the finals, we will win this game.

If not, we will lose and will just be making up the numbers.
 
We're two in a row, beating Parra and saints. Let's not get to excited just yet.

Our defense was okay against the dragons,but let's face it the dragons on a good night have very little in the way of attack and on a wet windy cold night have nothing.

The dogs will keep charging up the middle,suck the defense in and than run riot on the edges. Sorry to be so pessimistic but in think they will do a number on us. We have to many hit and miss defenders. Could be
Way off the mark but Pritchard and Barba usually burn us.
 
We can beat them. My concern is that we play Canterbury, the Roosters and Melbourne over the next 3 weeks and we need to jag at least one win.

The team needs to start playing consistently and Benji, Robbie and Moltzen need to step up. I think the only other thing is we need to be disciplined - dumb penalties at the wrong time can hammer you.

Just like the stupid one Blair gave away on Sat night, in the first half.
 
Unfortunately we are the masters of two things - dumb penalties and unwarranted penalties.
It's not only Blair - and whenever we try and milk a penalty we end up with egg on our face and the penalty going the other way.
In contrast guys like Greg Bird milk us like a jersey cow with hardly any effort.
 
Our defence is the biggest concern, and i want to be proven that we have turned our season around by a win over the Dogs . I think we will be up for this as they are due for a loss . Anyone know if Kaisiano is playing ?
 
I hope Canterbury will be at their best, so we will see where we are against the current benchmark.
Necessary conditions to win:
- attitude, attitude, attitude …
- solid and aggressive D,
- attacking field position, and
- avoid unnecessary penalties.

Sorry. but we dont have much chance. The ball movement Canterbury have will find too many gaps in our defence as it is today. and besides…we are carrying a forward who does zero.
 
wests-tigers wil be the underdogs, and be more desperate of the two teams.
all the expectation will be on the bulldogs to keep winning.
.
will need an almighty defensive effort, but what better game to do it in, and show all others wests-tigers are on the prowl
 
I haven't watched Canterbury that closely, but suggest our fifth tackle options include either not kicking the ball to Barba, or at least making him deal with it on the ground. Complete all tackles on Ennis and Reynolds, saving some special attention for both of them. We have the size up front, just depends on what attitudes we bring. Of course the great unknown will be that malady known as the Pritchard effect
