I agree that we need to be looking to move Madge on but I still think it has to be at the end of his contract. If you watch the reserves and even our team the defensive structures can be good. I am sure they are being coached correctly but we lack the ability to execute well consistently.

We have a much better squad as can be seen by how good our reserve grade team is going but we lack some quality and we are building.

The only reason I say move the coach on at the end of his contract is that we aren't performing to the level that we are capable of. I agree that Madge doesn't appear to the coach to get the guys playing above their level yet alone at their level.

The reserves stand MUCH deeper in attack...the reserves scramble MUCH better...the reserves have a different coach.

Why do the reserves stand 15 meters deep and run on to it? Why does the reserves 7 shuffle early ball to his centers? Why does the firsts 7 run side to side? Why do firsts simply put up midfield bombs and hope?

Reggies do none of those things.

If Madge is not coaching this stuff, then why has he not sacked all the people not carrying out his game plan? After week after week of it..it is fairly clear that this 'is' his game plan.

I would give Ben Gardner, the Reserve grade coach, the Wests tigers coaching position as soon as possible.

He would be a good choice to finish the year.

The maybe look for someone with experience with NSW elite junior level players like Ciraldo.

We had all the ball and created nothing. Zero structure. Yet he says "that is the team we are capable of"...

So, what are we? A team who with tons of possession can barely create a thing? And he points to that as the highlight.

Yes, he won a premiership in 2014 with an absolutely stacked team and a high level of assistants at every level...same club let him go within two years of it. Bash and barge and yell worked with a team of vets, but a young team needs way more.

Michael Hagan won a comp...Paul Green won a comp...they all got sacked. Madge won one and got sacked. The game moved past all three of them.

I don't know why your post was downvoted. Can anyone really argue against this. We have to play perfect footy to compete with a team like Manly. Manly aren't even a top team but with Turbo they are a definitely going to give a lot of teams a run.

It's not Brooks and Laurie that are the problem either. Luc is great for us. We just lack some more threats or a coach who can get the guys playing to their potential. The problem is that we aren't winning games through good execution.

He was a good coach for that group...a lot of vets who were left feeling angry at Cleary abandoning them.

He was also good at Souths...the yelling and aggression the final piece of the puzzle with a stacked roster of internationals.

But this Tiger's team is young...we need an actual coach who has tactical nous.

I agree but we don't lose that game today due to tactical nous. I get what you are stating though. We can't seem to execute well in attack or defense. We have no special trick plays or areas that we expose. Today we tried to expose Saab and he exposed Nofo.

For mine, the commentators on Fox inadvertently summed it up.

They were talking about whether Tedesco, Papenhuyzen or Trbojevic would be selected at 1 for NSW at the same time as DCE (the QLD number 7) tore us a new one.

We just can't compete against that at the moment. No coach can change that.

When you can't get the players to play, it is over. I called for it after the Titan's game when Payten gave Maguire a tactical enema.

Yes, the gameplan is too basic. I know we did not lose it through just that. But, as you would know, modern footy is all about momentum and putting teams away whilst you have it. Manly were out on their feet and we had something like 80% plus of the ball / multiple sets in their 20...and threw absolutely nothing at them.

Once they scored, it was their turn to have the ball and we capitulated, yet again.

We need some tactics / actual plays to take advantage of our periods on top.

We're not up to the NRL standard as a club. Being saying that for a few years now. We just don't belong at this level.

Yet we have very good Flegg and Reserve grade sides? The future is waiting for us but not with Madge as coach.

What you are saying is that Madge cannot bring out the best from players which find there way into. or on the cusp of first grade. This directly opposite to what our reserve grade coach as done. Players don't want to be put continually under pressure for what they believe is not required. This huge unnecessary pressure on players explodes on the playing when young players lose whatever confidence they have. No wonder players, unless they are really desperate, don't want to play for a Madge coached team. Sorry, but it had to be said.
