I was concerned in the Q&A where they said that last season it was decided to basically rest Packer and get his injuries fixed that he had been carrying. (paraphrasing there gang, do don't be too harsh).

No as far as I can recall there was very little of Packer being out injured on the club website or information he was recovering from previous injuries. Everybody recall the times here and elsewhere we got caught up in Packer sulking and or wanting out, or Maguire wanting to get rid of him, transfer to Penrith etc?????

We fans were treated badly by the club where a simple statement from them would have solved everything.

I’m just wondering why no official word from the club if that was the case?constant reports suggesting a rift with the coach (which may still have been the case),using the injured card to the media and fans could have helped hose things down.

Maybe there was indeed a fallout betwen Madge and Packer, they've now made up and are all good, and the club's just being diplomatic now?

Anyway, whatever it was, I hope Packer comes out firing this year.

I think some people place a higher value on the media reports and other forum rumours than the actually information from the club. Hardly the clubs fault.

I am sure that information on him suffering from injuries was posted on here at various stages of this season, including early on, but that didn't stop the reasonably common narrative of him being a sulking bludger.

Club wise, I thought there was a general lack of injury and rehabilitation news throughout the year.
