More vocal marshalling his troops

This one baffles me. All game he was yelling and pointing. He couldn't be more vocal. He's been vocal all year.

Also, his short kick game was good yesterday. 3 forced dropouts. 1 try set-up, almost 2.

To me, the biggest problem is when he plays flat and gets pressured. Goes all headless chook.

I don’t get it either if we’re talking about this year. He was very loud on the paddock yesterday . He’s def been given a ? in that department

Or more assurance from our coach.
Does anyone else realise he is our in game captain?

Therein lies the biggest problems (generally) line breaks are hard enough to come by that you really need to ice your chances. Two big opportunities he had and took the worst options both times.

I’d say he took the safest options both times. He really is hesitant to try a lower percentage play.
Most cases he looked for an inside runner whom didn’t come mind you so he took the tackle.

The one he through the slow floating spiral pass, we had like 5 on 2 all he had to do was draw and pass.

Possibly I’ll have to see it again. I usually watch the game full of emotions the first time and break it down in second viewing.

To me it looks like Brook's job is to control the middle, choose where to attack, call the plays, be the main kicker at the end of a set and to get the ball to Laurie on the left and Doueihi on the right who are the playmakers on the edges. I have seen him talking and pointing all year.

If there is a big open side on the left, Doueihi often moves to it as 2nd receiver.

This has been happening so far this year but Laurie and Doueihi are new to their roles at this level and it is a bit clunky. The players outside them also keep changing.

This part of our game has a lot of room for improvement but is on the right track.

The forwards are where we are are behind the other teams and where we need a big improvement.
Tamou 72
Twal 123 (46 kick return)
Ofahengaue 89
Utoikamanu 63
Seyfarth 69
Mikaele 72 (20 min)

They also let the dragons forwards make too many easy post contact metres in the middle.

I think you are right and this is our biggest problem. Have to admit I couldn't see it for a few weeks because on paper our middle is solid compared to the rest of the team. The numbers are very poor every week. We need 3 hitting 100+ if we have that much ball.

Love Twal's work rate but why do we have to give him a settler under the posts, sometimes twice a set, whenever we are attacking.

Mikaele took a run out wide in the second half that fulfilled the purpose of playing the ball in a certain spot but also had some attacking threat.

I can give these guys another week, when Madge pulls the trigger though I have a feeling the wrong player/s will make way for Musgrove and Amone.

Our forwards just don't look as angry or insane as they should. I want to see the hate!

Zero context post, but the Garden Gnome is up there for try assists this year. Geo would be stoked

Still think we should be playing Liddle and young Simkins in tandem. Madge has a thing about Moses M playing the 14 role that negates any chance of that happening.

I think Liddle could have had a field day in the second half when we were dominating play.

Seeing that Madge benched young Simpkin mid game on the weekend .. and the fact that Liddle scored two trys in the NSW Cup .. could this mean we see Liddle back in the top grade for this weeks game .. ??

Or Simpkin playing 60mins was the plan...?
