I'm not going to hold back. As a footballer (in first grade) he is a disgrace. Overpaid beyond belief. Even as a youngster i remember a relo of mine who goes for the Dogs telling me how good he was and me telling him Moses shat all over him. Funny how things work out. Nevertheless an abhorent signing by Cleary for the money. Like i said elsewhere, your highest paid players need to be matchwinners, not spectators, and unfortunately Mbye is the latter.

Further to my post above, if premierships were won on nice people we would be in the box seat with Mbye, but unfortunately they arent.

All good points .... if he was our highest paid player and he wasn’t recruited to play fullback , but is now playing centre. Seriously what are you watching ? His defence in the 3 is perfect . We need to find a way for him to get involved in attack . It’s the same for Joey.

His defence is perfect....phew, for 900k a year it would want to be. Whats it going to cost us to get someone who can defend and attack?

Is he actually on $900k though?

I think he was, sort of, but Bulldogs paid some, and the contract was for 3 and a half years, who exactly who knows.

Fair enough, I don't know either to be honest, but I did have in my head a figure more like 7 or 750. I could be wrong. Still a big figure anyway.

Nah it’s like 650 mate . He had the difference between what the dogs were paying and us , extended over the terms of the contract .

Madge made a similar decision with New Zealand. Can't for the life of me work out how a winger is the captain of the Kiwis.

Wasn’t he playing fullback at the time?

Fairly sure RTS was and he was on the wing. Either way RTS owns the NZ 1 not DWZ. And it's still quite a puzzling selection for me.

Give it to Reynolds
He leads by example when on the field and can always be seen talking when there is a try scored
He has plenty of experience and wouldn't be afraid to talk to the ref

Watching some of the game again , I noticed the man doing a lot of talking was Douehi

As a fullback he should be doing plenty and helping to organise the defensive line.

Depends how accurate zero tackle is. According to them he is on 950k pa until the end of 2022. The other figure i saw thrown around was 3 mill over 3.5 years. Nobody will ever know except Moses his management and WT. If any of those figures are even remotely close, it shows you how little he delivers for us.

Moses invisible all night.

A couple of clear calls he should have challenged.

With this new rule you basically have to have your captain in the middle of the field.

Can someone explain exactly why Madge made him captain? I honestly can't work it out.

Your leader sets the tone.

Every dropped ball and error we made tonight he was nowhere to be seen talking or revving anyone up.

I have never, ever, seen a captain so passive in my 40 years watching footy.

Aaron Woods says hello.

But yeah agree with you on Moses Mybe

If you watch after our try in particular he is the player doing all the talking

That's good to see then. Doueihi strikes me as a very determined player and speaks well to the media. Future leadership material if he keeps working on it.

Lmao. Aaron "only forward doing work" Woods.

With such inspirational words such as "Look, they scored. It is what it is. Let's get back to our structures."

Biggest poser ever. The only reason he used to run 200m most weeks was because as soon as he had a run, he would stand around doing S.F.A. for the rest of the set.

Aaron's signature move of barging his back 'full speed' into defence

A better option

I genuinely think Aloiai could be a good captain. He is well liked by everyone, always puts in, loves the club and seems to be a good talker. Has been at the club and in first grade for 5 years now. Only issue is that he generally plays 45-50 minutes and youd want him on for at least 60.
