We need a new halfback and we need to lock it in now

JLJ is nowhere near as creative as Brooks

Nobody is disputing that.
We need someone to support Moses, not hinder.
We need defensive starch. Not turnstiles.
Moses can control the game on his own, just needs a stable partner in crime that won't go missing.

Last week was perfect example of two guys trying to make a play on their own.
Hence all the mistakes from them. The pressure is on the both of them, they are playing for contracts right now.

It's interesting times.

Something from left field…...what if Elijah played 6? His ball playing has showed as much promise as anyone, he is physically imposing as a half, and his running game is stronger than Brooks.

Could it work? I'm not sure. But i would rather that than JLJ as first choice 6 or 7\. Enables a bigger pack too.

I think Moses is a halfback, and Elijah Taylor or James Tedesco could both be effective at five eighth, although both are better placed where they are now.

I haven't written off Luke Brooks yet though.

Lol. Tim Sheens has left the building already.

If Moses and Brooks don't succeed as a pair then they both have to go.
The pair have absorbed a big investment and are responsible in order to retain them for the release of a lot of players so if they don't work together this experiment has failed.
Moses alone hasn't done enough against quality opposition.

Brooksy is not the problem. Our forwards need to lay a platform. Look at ben hunt. He played a heap of games at hooker and utility from the bench before he got his spot. Sheensy said you are not a first grader until u play 100 games and Luke is still very early along in his career. We build our team around brooks, moses, teddy and woodsy and we will have quite a few good years

People tend to forget last week our forwards did lay an early platform, to an extent. However neither half took the advantage, with Brooks again proving when it comes to the crunch he folds under the pressure. Don't get me wrong Moses didn't set the game on fire either but the errors Luke makes are fundamental ones. Its the little one percentages that undoes him.

Something that Gus Gould said 3 seasons ago I can't forget. That Moses plays more like a halfback or should be the dominant half in the team.
A good example would be the qld team a few years back when DCE was playing 7 with Thurston at 6 or vice versa. I really don't think DCE likes to take a back seat but really needed to. Much like what Brooks should be doing but wants to get to involved at times. Its been said on here before ' Too many cooks'.

Yet his best game was his first game at the SCG and his slowly gone backwards ever since.
His a huge liability in defence as has been shown up many times. Defence is about attitude and confidence and his badly lacking in both.

240 minutes of football and he is yet to notch up a try assist.
160 minutes of football since out one of our halves created a try.

Something is completely out of whack.
They can't expect a contract playing like this surely.

If we are not going to re-sign Brooks, play Moses at half and sign Jack Bird. Knights have offered him $900k for 3 years that's the same sort of money Brooks wants. Bird wants to play either 5/8 or Fullback, let him play 5/8.

JLJ is not the answer can't say too much I turned that S#%T of at half time they were all crap one dimensional and predictable. Doesn't read too well for Taylor. But JLJ stupid penalty dropped ball they all swapped hands for feet. Crap game frustrating as hell week in week out!

All crap not just the half back give us some forwards that go forward!

Crap showing again !

I can't think of one player that didn't make an error today.
They all did. Even Tedesco made one.
JLJ isn't the answer. Neither are the halves.
Our only salvation is Tedesco. The rest can walk off a short cliff.

Foran is looking to come back to Sydney.
Surely we should offer him 1m a season before Luke "Zach Rolloff" Brooks.

i wouldn't be upset if foran came. but i can see the irony in us getting rid of simona and bring in Foran

I've said it before and I will say it again….Brooks was offered big money on his NYC form and took it....has yet to show that form in NRL...why.??? Because he is up against NRL players not his own age group and has been found out....take the offer off the table and let him walk...he can't handle NRL ...I will be very surprised if he makes it at another club...I'm confident of that...look at Nathan Cleary..he is killing it,the only thing Brooks is killing is the club....

Far different cases.
Foran wasn't doing NRL bets. He was on the ponies with that degenerate brothel owner.

Way too much of a liability IMO. Pardon the pun, but a tiger can't change his stripes.
