Who do you suggest replace Brooks this year that would improve our team?

I’d get Hastings back on a plane tomorrow.
Voted best player in Super League last year and he’s an out and out halfback.

He has been there previously and we haven't gotten the spoon. I think our team is looking stronger.

All you are doing is stating this is the worst team we've had in years and I personally don't see that.

Can you show me where I’ve stated this is the worst team we’ve had in years? I actually think this is the strongest roster we have had in ages. Players like Laurie, Douie, talau, bore, Stefano and the simpkins get me very excited.

Our achiles heel is our halfback and there are no more excuses. I don’t hate him but he has run out of excuses. No Farah to blame, no Benji to blame and we finally have a decent forward pack. When expert halves like fitlerand John’s are telling us that Brooks kicking game is killing us and leading to these second half blow outs because of the field position we keep feeding our opponents then I’m happy to listen to them. Time to move on otherwise we will be fighting it out with the bottom four due to not having a proper halfback running our team.

You are now stating we will be bottom 4. Initially you said the spoon. I don't think we've ever come last with Brooks here. If our roster is better we shouldn't get the spoon.

I don't even believe that Brooks makes us a bottom 4 team.

This is all sort of off a little off topic. The point being we should just treat the halfback and all other positions as areas to work on. If we can get a good replacement for Brooks at a fair price awesome. I like the idea for instance of getting Hastings. I don't want to see any let's buy player X at millions of dollars and everything will be rosey. That approach is exactly what has hurt us in the past. I think we are doing lots of things right and I agree that we appear to have a fair bit of talent at the club now. Let's keep building smartly for the future.

Reynolds has two seasons in him easily ..at this moment the club has no Goal kicker ..No general kicker ..No organising 7..No leader in the backline .Adam Reynolds covers ALL bases , but lets just complain ever week about how bad this team is!

Assuming Brooks is on $600k that sounds pretty good. The question would be what to do with Brooks but if that number is correct it's not a club ruining contract. So we may be able to hold Brooks (assuming you can't offload him) and also have Adam Reynolds.

The question I'd be asking is though are we being played ? We can't just jump into contract negotiations like morons. I mean everyone rants when the club goes after and doesn't get players.

The club though would be stupid not to be looking at other options if our halves don't start delivering some returns. Are we after Hastings ? You just take the best deal or even deals you can get from those options.
