We need another prop

Another prop would be good but I think we have plenty of options, I mean Galloway, Groat and Gravet are all out injured. You can't really blame recruitment for that.

I think BMM can play prop easily. Blair up the middle is a lot better than out wide. Bell can fill in there as well. Pettybourne can probably do the job.

I don't see prop as a major problem.

Utai to me is simply not a prop. He hits it up really well but it is a helping hit-up coming from a winger who defends on the wing. I just don't see him as an option.

Blocker said it during the pre match dribble, and its showing

'We need to buy an experienced prop'

We arent going the entire 80, we are tiring badly at the back end of games…and imo its the result of injuries and poor forward recruitment
People have mentioned Buchanan looks to have hit the wall.....no slight on him but hes clearly being force to try do too much too soon, Bell offers little when he comes on. BMM....has he played this year?

The last two games have been against poor oppositions, weve had the better of the possesion and the completions yet we still struggle late in the game....round one showed what happens with no ball and no go forward...a hiding.

Yes weve had bad luck with injuries, but Groat is still an unknown and Gavet is untried....Galloway is experienced but good as gone for the year...Woods will blow a gasket if hes asked to do all this again on his own for a second year running....burnout is a concern, and if hes missing during origin time then we have another little problem dont we?

Buy a prop with 3 or 4 NRL seasons under his belt Humpty

Spot on!!!

Hull FC prop Mark O’Meley will retire at the end of next season.

The Australian, 31, has spent three years at Hull but he will call time on a glittering career at the conclusion of his fourth.

He has won the NRL, earned 15 Australia Test caps and made 10 State of Origin appearances for New South Wales.

“I have promised my wife that next year is definitely my last. I’ll play this season and then that will be it for me with rugby league,” O’Meley told the Hull Mail.

O’Meley began his career with North Sydney Bears in 1999 and he went on to play for Northern Eagles, Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs, Sydney Roosters and Hull FC.

The Utai thing is not a bad concept, but, playing wing and prop is something you have to to do early on. It requires being a good defender first, a fast effective finisher second and strong hitups third. Utai's best attribute is his hitups. He isn't tall enough for prop either. If he was a machine in defence, maybe he could get a pass on the height. But he's not very quick, either. If one can't make the switch between the positions quickly and easily and be of utility value, you'd be better off getting a specialist in each spot.

or maybe someone like this …

of course the issue with his wife might be about living in the UK .

and not thinking that a return to the NRL could be possible .

but 31 for a prop is still young .

maybe a 2 year contract back home might sway Mrs O .

Galloway is generally a sure bet of being injured at some stage during the year and Groat and Gavet got long term injuries well before the start of the season. The recruitment dept had plenty of time to rectify this situation, but didn't, so yeah I actually think they can take the blame for lack of foresight - and it's not the first time either.

I know the face, refresh my memory?

O'Mealy would be handy, can't believe he's only 31, been around forever. Definitely young enough to still get a couple yrs out of him

No to Puletua, another back rower

Ben Cross- Raiders Storm Knights….hed be just what we need imo...10 years exp, 100 NRL games under his belt...not a great ratio I know but well beggars n all that....goes forward OK, has some aggro

Ava showed promise. Hope we persist and maybe the next guy, Sue. Yeah having ajourney man might be what we need, but good luck finding one. Blood a couple of guys so they are ready for 1st grade for the back half of the season.

Ropy Asotasi is on the outter @ Souths…maybe we should make a play for him for the rest of the year...

If he decided to quit Souths who look like having a pretty good year...to come to us...I wouldnt want him because it wouldnt be for the right reasons

They have depth and lots of it....it keeps them all on their toes.

They have that much depth they can be dropped for being 5% off their game

Anthony laffranchi , ryan boyle , grant millington , and a big unit Julian Bousquet 21 years old 6 ft 3 and 117 kg, would be fairly cheap
