Is Paul Momorovski a better player than Daine Laurie? No - on any day of the week.
So, in a position where we do not have standout centres or standout fullback, i.e. both positions equally barren, a trade where we get Laurie and lose Momorovski is a good trade.
Dane Laurie was already signed with us for 2022.
That was happening regardless of Momo going to
Penrith or not.
***The reason Momo went to Penrith was because we signed BJ and to get him here he was told he was first choice.***
When Momo got wiff of that conversation between the club and BJ he took off to Penrith.
And we all know how BJ has worked out for the club.
BIG MISTAKE!!!
Momo wasnt contracted for 2022, we got Laurie for 2021. We cant have Laurie and Momo in 2021, Laurie strengthens the team.
BJ played for us in 2020. That story that Momo left because BJ was told he was guaranteed 1st grade kinda falls apart with the fact that BJ was dropped to reggies in 2021? How does BJ playing reggies fit in that fairy tale.
If Momo left so he didnt have to compete for his position, then good riddance.
Thats right BJ did sign for us in 2020 , cause we didnt have a centre, We sent our centre to Melbourne Storm on loan for Harry.
So , like I said earlier , because we signed BJ and thought he would be our saviour , it left Momo out and he chose to go to the Riff.
I dont believe for a second that that is the reason why he left, but if he did he is a puss. If he is not prepared to fight for a position, he is exactly the wrong player for us. If he didnt rate BJ and thought he was better he should and could of proven it and fought for it. The fact that early in the season Madge dropped BJ shows that there was no entrenched favouritism. Was Momo promised first grade at Pamfers?
That , I dont know cause I dont follow pamfers.
But it was the obvious choice for him as Ivan was who got him to the Wests Tigers.
