I'm a Momo fan and was sad to see him go. Smart footy player who defends well and can find the line, and no doubt he would have improved us this year.

I honestly I think we should be aiming higher but if we can't hit that sort of target, I'd happily take him back.

If Madge has a fault, its that he's a softy and sometimes appears over optimistic with his belief in people. Sure I get the pygmalion effect and his desire to not give up on anyone, but I think he needs to be more realistic with his analysis. BJ, is a classic example of him believing and persisting for too long. I dont want to bring up blind freddy and get jumped on, but surely Madge needs to be tougher in that decision making process.??

I agree.

That is his biggest fault and the one that could lose him his job.

We was hired to be a tough guy and make tough decisions. He has not really done that.

How so?

Any coach can say words of support to his team, but when those words are given true meaning by his actions, they become more than just words. I think the more the players understand Madge, the more they will want to win for him.

Manly = Morgan Harper, Brad Parker
Souths= Campbell Graham, Dane Gagai
Parra = Tom opicic, Waqa Blake
They are the centres from the top 5 clubs mate. How many out of that bunch is quicker than him. If they are its a bonus but one thing is certain , they can all tackle. Maybe the penny might drop here one day.

If he was so good why didn’t the storm keep him. They played branko lee in front of him. That says it all.

No they didn't, He got injured and lost his spot to Brenko - Brenko did nothing to lose it and got an Origin gig... Won that also....
Momo is solid, And a hard worker - Very much a Madge style player...
Certainly a better / smarter outside back than the 5-6 we kept over him.

Funnily, Brenko would probably out-perform most of our current centres also...

He played 6 games for the storm. They could have easily kept him as the swap for JAC. But they didn’t and played an average center in front of him. Not saying our guys are any better but I’d give up two momos for Laurie.

He might be the worst in that bunch (in your opinion) but he can tackle. Some people on this forum want to sign Jtj again. Remind me again when he runs out into our centres so i get into the foetal position again.
