We Should Re Sign Tim Moltzen

Can't do anything right can he?
Scores the matchwinner two weeks in a row and his own teams's supporters still can't find a good word to say about him! :crazy
Complain when he doesn't attack the ball , then complain because he does. :crazy
Even to the point where he only scores because he puts himself in the right position….duh :crazy
It obviously hurts some people to admit they were wrong - and he actually does have some talent.

At the moment things are going well, but at the end of the day, someone will have to go. The club will cop flak but you can't keep everyone. Hope he can stay at the right price.

Sheens was quoted in the current edition of Rugby League Week saying the club wants to re-sign Moltzen and all the players like having him around. While he can come up with some rocks and diamonds performances, it sounds like a new deal is imminent.

Id prefer him to Anasta thats for sure, have no idea why we signed Anasta maybe we should pull out of it and send him to England thats where he belongs

YES, YES, YES. Sign him first thing tomorrow. He can play most positions and tries his hardest all the time. He does come up with a few mistakes but nobody is perfect. The 2 tries today were great as was the match winner last week. I think he plays well backing up Benji or anyone for that matter. Where will they play him next year if we do re-sign him??? I'm not sure maybe he can job share with Tedesco or Braith, fill in for Beau when he get picked for State of Origin next year(maybe), I don't really mind where he plays as long as he plays for the TIGERS.

I think many dont like him as a person, much like they wouldnt support Lui.
You know there are certain ways a man should behave
No respect here

Might be drawing a long bow there Ink comparing a bloke for being a recalcitrant on the field to the other bloke for his misdemeanors off the field.

Yes re-sign. Cant put all our eggs in one basket hoping tedesco is the saviour. He is a great support player and adds some play-making relief for benji.

It all depends on dollars and cap management.

That along with a coach willing to demote under performing players to State Cup keeping the side free of complacency

Ink, I don't agee
I don't think you can put Lui in the same class as Moltzen. Why would Moltz be a bad man????? Have i missed something.

well next year we'll have braith, sironen for the 6 (if benji stays at 7) and tedesco and moltz for the 1 which is good.

I think moltz is too good to let go… at a stretch, imagine him coming off the bench to help at hooker or anywhere in the backline... that would be a dream team...

backing out of a deal
behaving like a sook whenever he gets tackled
etc.

as long as he gives 100% at training and on the field idc whatever the kind of person he is. as a supporter i want the best team on the field and all of them to try their hardest to win.

would hurt if he was signed for 1-2 years to keep competition for spots in the squad, we can't rely on a fb who yes has huge pitential just done his knee and have no other full time option at fullback.

When in form he is great, when he isnt hes absolutly poor, whats more important? depth with the potential of having a classy moltzen or having to rely on sean meaney if tedesco get injured again!

I heard yesterday, a three year deal is about to be signed.

If we see the headline "Moltzen to re-sign" I reckon everyone here will celebrate. Though at least half will be because they thought it said "Moltzen to resign".

Not comparing what theyve both done….the point was many wouldnt support lui for what he did, I find it similarly difficult support Moltzen, dont like how he's handled himself over the off season and at time on the paddock. Its just me.
Im sure most here wouldve had players in their club they disliked for whatever reason at one time or another.

My question is if he is re-signed what position is he going to play?

1\. Tedesco
2\. Ryan
3\. ?
4\. Lawrence
5\. ?
6\. Sironen
7\. Marshall

And if its a three year deal that would be a huge mistake, there is no room for him. I dont want to see him defending in the centres. The only position I can see is being the token utitility back bench player? I would much rather see that money kept for the kids, we have U16s, U18s, U20s all performing brilliantly. There must be at least a dozen exciting backs ready to crack first grade within the next 2 years.
