We Should Re Sign Tim Moltzen

Sign him NOW. I'v watched him plenty and i can't see what all you knockers are on about. For the last few weeks he's done absolutely nothing wrong and still he gets bagged on this forum every week. Come on every one just admit when you are WRONG. The contract dispute last year wasn't Moltz's fault, I think it's the Tigers fault because they were the ones that told Moltz to look else where, knew that he didn't want to go, knew that he signed with the dragons then when the deal was all but done said no it's all right we'll have ya back because we are gunna sack a girlfriend bashing drunk. My view is that the Tigers owe him more then Moltz owes the Tigers.Moltz's name has been dragged through the mud and still people on here bag the crap out of him.Sign Moltz NOW.

Wests Tigers fullback Tim Moltzen not yet offered new contract by club

THE future of Wests Tigers fullback Tim Moltzen remains uncertain, with his agent sounding a warning about the club's failure to table a new contract.

The tug-of-war between the Tigers and Dragons over Moltzen became the biggest contract saga of the summer.

Moltzen knocked back a three-year contract with the Dragons on the grounds he was "depressed" about leaving Concord and carrying a serious shoulder injury.

Now six months on, the fullback remains unsigned at the Tigers beyond October.

"It's a major concern. With all the kerfuffle that went on last year, I'd thought we'd have something sorted by now," his agent Martin Tauber said.

"Have the decency to let the boy know what's going on. No wonder he's had uncertainty his entire career.

"The club have a lot to answer for that debacle last year. There's no point hanging the kid out to dry for somebody else's mistakes."

Wests Tigers coach Tim Sheens and chief executive Stephen Humphreys confirmed that the club was in discussions to extend Moltzen's contract.

But Tauber told The Sunday Telegraph he had opened negotiations before the start of the season and was becoming increasingly concerned at the club's failure to submit a formal contract.

"That's with the club and the manager at the moment. I haven't spoken to Warren (McDonnell, Tigers recruitment manager) about it in the past few days, but the last instruction was to sit down to try to sort it out," Sheens said.

"It's not an issue from the point of view of having to be done today or tomorrow, but it's certainly something that we want to sort out soon."

After turning their season around, the last thing the Tigers need is any form of off-field distraction, especially after all the upheaval at Concord over player movement months ago.

Humphreys remained confident the club and Moltzen could come to an agreement.

He wont be going anywere it would be dumb if he didnt go to dragons with a big offer if he wasent sure we were going to re sign him he will be a tiger next year for sure.

He has to earn a contract and he is doing that. Exactly the way you want it

Resign Moltzen, groat, Utai, bell-mayby that's about it perhaps humble as well as a backup

Moltzen is ok but we have better players who can actually catch the ball. Resign lote, utai and bell

The only way Moltzen will stay at the Tigers if he and his manager are willing to take a reduced contract. The decision on players like Utai and Tuqiri could also have an influence as well as the youngsters in Tedesco, Rudolph and Rowe coming through.

Hope Moltz is offered a contract but he won't be getting the cash he could have got at the Dragons

I can't see where he fits into the 2013 plan given our other signings… But our recruitment lacks all direction so who knows

Where is Timmy two shoes going????? So there are clubs standing outside his front door with chq books open hasn't shown enough yet IMO for a major upgrade .Benchy next year at best if all are well but wouldn't be to upset if playing else where.

I was one who rubbished Moltzen earlier in the year and believed he should have been dropped to NSW Cup.

Credit to him and credit to Sheens for lifting his confidence, he is playing really well and putting his body on the line.

Although I don't like the fact he's a confidence player. When he decides to have a poor run of form could become costly for us.

My heart says keep him my head says let him go.

My god Tauber is a piece of work isnt he?

100% agree ink.

It's atrocious behaviour as a professional player-manager and reeks of desperation.

Having a go at the club is not going to get Moltzen the big bucks.

It also shows that there isn't exactly a queue of teams lining up for him.

x3\. Used to think highly of Tauber with the way he has managed Marshall, but the public spat with Moltzen and some of Tauber's comments leave me less than impressed.

Tim is playing decent football, but he can play better football, and given his inconsistency, I can see why the Tigers would offer him a reduced contract.

Does he manage anyone else besides Benji and his handbag? i've never heard him linked to any other player

iTS JUST LIKE LAST YEAR, ITS TAKEN HALF A YEAR FOR HIM TO FIND FORM AND START PLAYING WELL
sorry caps lock not typin it over

It's a tough position.

I understand the club not rushing because where is he going to play? As far as I can see, we have far better long-term options in our 1, 6 and 7.

Is Moltz going to be happy as our 14? As far as I'm concerned, that's the problem. The Tigers can't offer much if he is going to be our utility and I'm sure that's why they tried to offload him last year.

I'm sure he would slot in to the starting side during injuries, but he isn't going to be good enough to start in 2013.

The decision won’t affect Tedesco he has already been signed on an NRL contract and is the number 1 fullback choice. Rudolph and Rowe would be affected.
The new signings from other clubs I assume are top 25 players so if we resign Moltzen then others in the top 25 will have to go to accommodate keeping him.

Who are we willing to let go to keep Moltzen?

I think they are the only 2.
His not really a manager his an accountant or something. What happen to Tauber being investigated by the Player Manager association ?

If you ask me Moltz should get rid of that manager and get a new one. I seem to be the only one on here that's looking after his interests maybe he should be knocking on my door for contract negotiation and career advice, i couldn't be any worse then this Tauber person.
