Never say never AHX, or at least think about for another week next time, even regarding WT.

They're not going to develop the required physical and mental attributes to be hardened rugby league players in one off-season. It takes multiple years in the NRL system to build it so it's no surprise they struggle to play 80 minutes each week.

My comment is in general that there are alot of average in field play kickers in the NRL.
Joey mastered the trade in this space.
There will be someone that comes along and takes it to the next level.
A smart intelligent kicker could change the way NRL is played.
 
On our kicking game…….
I have said it before but it is one of our current weaknesses- the guys who are currently kicking are well below average in pretty well all types of kicks. Luai will improve this a little but he also doesn’t have a great long kicking game. Galvin needs some coaching and practice with this but has plenty of time to improve. Sezer is ok with his short kicking but he is inconsistent and has no length. Api is pretty bad most of the time. AD has that big spiral at times but we need to work out when and how to use it.
One other key of course is that if you have a few real effort kick chasers then your kicks look a whole lot better !!! In games where we have contested kicks we have really looked ok.
 
I think Sezer is the most vital link in our attack .He runs ,accelerates and is big on cut out passes and with help from Galvin our attack is showing real promise
Problem is 3 into 2 next year won't go !
Assume next years spine is
BULA , LUAI , GALVIN , KORISAU
and the backups MASON , SEZER , DA SILVA
I think Sezer is great in attack but can't see where he fits in the starting side let alone Sullivan and Latu who are just surplus and using a fair bit of cap .
Ps -Wingers seems we are overloaded next year
TURUVA ,SKELTON ,STAINES , LAULILII
Seems Naden and Ailamalo also surplus .

They don't have the outside backs that can consistently make metres in the first 3 tackles. Kickers need time, and they don't get that at the Tigers.

Absolutely agree and why I wrote it is “one of our current weaknesses”. 100% we have poor 5th tackle carries leading to slow ptbs and pressure on kickers, planning and positioning is also often poor. However I was more alluding to technique, and both Api and Galvin in particular strike the ball poorly a lot of the time. Kicking well medium to long distance is a skill and good timing is essential.

If Sezer is renewed it will be for experience and guidance and Bud will not be around. Having him and Latu as back up is fine, just look at this season and how many times we have had a first pick half unavailable. How many combinations have we had to use. Latu needs more development and time and I actually see a 13 in there somewhere in the future. Who knows if Galvin stays beyond next season or if so what position he ends up in once he fills out more. Sezer certainly won’t be around then.
Naden and Alaimalo won’t be around long either.
 
Ah ye have little faith. Absolute calamity against souffs but you got there in the end.

Now all that's left is to topple manly then give those precious Parra pretenders that spoon they so mightily crave.
