We won the second half

22-12. To put it simply, we are a far better team than South Sydney. They were lucky to score those 26 points in the first half.

For real though, why do we wait until the other team are in the process of putting a cricket score on us to show some energy and take risks? It's like they wait until the game gets to the point where they say "okay, NOW it is embarrassing. Let's start trying."

I get that in the current game, momentum is king, and that it is extremely difficult to overturn, but come on. Those tries in the first half were conceded due to 3 defenders doing 3 different things. No cohesion in defence. Guys falling out of the defensive structure and making the wrong decisions. Etc.

I didn't watch the game (for my own health :grinning: ) but I said before the game South would win the penalty count and 6 again calls.. Guess what they won Penalties 8 to 3 and 6 again calls 5 to 2.

Now I am not saying this is the reason we lost as i didn't watch but its a trend that we always seem to be on the bad end of.. Looking at some of the highlights some of those Souths tries we pretty soft and I think a few players need some time in reserves.

This is the state us fans are in and I am just happy we won the 2nd half and they didn't put 50+ on us..

Mate its a literal illusion. Souths are up 26 points, and aren't as clinical as Melbourne so it looks like we are trying harder when we're down but it's the other team that starts coasting. Souths were at 50% in that second half. With Melbourne, we didn't get so lucky.

We don' wait to start playing, our attack and plays only work against shit teams, and teams that start coasting.

Souths phoned the 2nd half in. They were treating us with contempt.

Our start was disgraceful and allowed South's to control possession and the whole first half. In the second half we got some ball and they had to play. We lost it in the first half but South's didn't clock off they actually had to play. We played like a bunch of sooks in the first half - bar Laurie Liddle and Brooks.

Whatever they're being coached and whatever standards they're being held to isn't working.

The penalties and six again calls going against Us are another reason and proof of why we are placed where we are in the Comp.

Most of Our players are just plain dumb as they obviously dont listen to or learn from anyone.

We have enlisted an ex referee to coach us in the finer arts of cheating and we still lose out on penalties etc.
