Were we as bad as what people are saying?

I was at the game and honestly I thought we looked ok.

After seeing the stats I noticed our completions were terrible! But our D seemed good and we looked ok in attack imo.

So besides the completions, were we that bad? Btw I didnt drink at the game so I'm not dillusional

Short answer: Yep.

Come on, we knocked on the first set after half time, had a completion rate of about 1/5 in the first ten minutes of that half, almost threw the game away in the last 10 seconds. We were simply woeful. I heard they didn't sing the team song, and I'm kind of pleased.

Worse I reckon Imagine what people would be saying if we lost

I think it'd be less so, we deserved to lose so if we did, we'd just say at least its a turning point. To play like that and win is scary.

I saw Benji was disgusted at the end by throwing the ball away. I thought maybe that was to do with that stupid play at the end.

Tim Sheens was incredibly pissed off in the press conference after the game, said they didn't even sing the team song and the only reason we won is because they were just as bad.

we completed 24 or 42 sets I think it was, that right there is why we were bad. sure we scored some great trys, but we were playing the panthers at home without their rep players and Burns Gordon Tahu etc

If we do that again it will be 25-0 next week (dragons wont score more then that)

All we have to do next week is score 24 points and we beat the dragons.

maybe they had their minds on the dragons game who knows.

We didnt play well & we won, have seen us play very well & loose so i will take the win & 2 competition points & say thanks.

They were rubbish for the second week in a row. Big questions must be asked. I hope Sheens backs his displeasure up on Tuesday. A few players need to be dropped to get the message through that they are a rubbish team at present

This is why pre match talk means absolutely nothing to me, 2 weeks in a row they have been talking about the importance of preparation and not to be complacent and both times they have been terrible.

Remember that Broncos game last year where we got away with it?? Its very much like that game, it could be the difference between making the 8 and not making it this year very important win no matter how hard it was to get. makes up for the Titans game that we should have won

I was so annoyed in the second half that I didn't join in any of the "Tigers!" chants. My annoyance actually started with that ridiculous try they let the Panthers score before half time and things just got worse from there. I smacked my hat against my thigh in frustration about five or six times. At one point a cheer went up when Penrith knocked on in our half and I just thought "Won't mean much, seeing as we'll probably just knock it on in return". I was stunned when Benji threw that risky pass during the last twenty seconds. What on earth was he thinking?!?!?

However, in spite of all that, we won the game. And when the regular season is over it could very well be one of those games we look back at and say "if not for that win we might not have made the finals." So, it was a valuable two points, but little else.

Sheens needs to get a rocket up them.

As predicted we made Adrian Purtell look like a better player than the godawful mess he usually is. He made metres of every run.

We were pretty bad i thought, even though we managed to get out of gaol, we need to keep them for a rainy day. But in saying that the worst performance in all time history would have to go parramattas v cowboys 29-0 drubbing in the preliminary final in 2005, we owe parramatta alot for that effort, because at that time our record against them wasnt real flash and i dare say we would have struggled to beat them in the grand final.

My exact thought Golden was thinking Broncos game We scored with our first set of six . And fell asleep after that until late Son was sitting next to me at 18-10 and I said "Boy , we are going to lose this game ." His exact words were "You said the same thing to Grandad when we went and watched the Broncos game "
