First inner city home game perhaps? Bit of a trek to Ashfield for the post match function from Ctown

Great stuff , i love the idea of a club base again for the team to attend after the match .
They could go one step further and add transport packages to and from the game to the club .

Ashfield having a train station would be easily accessible from all parts of Sydney .. its the bit to LO thats the pain and a club bus return link direct there would be good

Interesting move by West Ashfield to change their Logo and try to become closer to the WestsTigers. I'm sure it must have caused heated debate in their boardroom meetings.
I've only ever been in their twice when a Rugby League game was on. Not many of the patrons seemed that interested in League. They did however seem very interested in these machines that you put money into and push a button.

Club that is a majority shareholder in the club wants to align their branding with the club.

Everyone has a whinge.

Is this a 75% strong arm tactic by WA

Huh?? - they are not forcing anyone to go there after a game. Go to five dock if you want - go to the local fish and chip shop - who cares.
Basically i see it just as a business decision - as they do own 75% and control of WT why not advertise it as any other business would do.

They haven't changed their logo - they have added a WT logo ( wearing a Wests jersey).

Yep - the club logo is still the magpie - as i understand it WT logo will only be displayed in the foyer. At this stage anyway.

I say good on them, and now they need to go a step further and replace the word "Ashfield" with the word "Tigers".

Call it the Wests Tigers Leagues Club, and make it the home our club has been searching for over the past 18 years.

I'm not a member of any of the 4 club affiliated Leagues Clubs, but as soon as someone decides to open up a Wests Tigers Leagues Club, i'll be the first bloke in the membership queue.

I still have my Wests Leagues Club membership at Campbelltown…I always assumed that some of the money spent there went into the Wests group and therefore supporting the Wests Ashfield club to own a majority of the Wests Tigers...it's only small, but there is big money to be made from huge amounts of small donations...

Nothing wrong with keeping their original logo and adding the weststigers logo or having functions there - but why did they need to change the football team's logo?
Good sign of unification there. :unamused:

Wests Campbelltown gave up their stake and ant financial responsibility in Wests Tigers to Wests Ashfield/WSDRLFC in 2011…

Did you mean stake GEO…so Wests Campbelltown aren't part of Wests group, even though they have nothing to do with the WTs...if they are part of the group ,then some of their money goes to Wests Ashfield, yes or no ...not quite following..

Gave up the seat on the Wests Tigers Board (stake) to Wests Ashfield/WSDRLFC ( now - Wests Group) as a trade off for any financial liability to Wests Tigers..they are no longer part of the Wests Group that control the Wests Tigers since 2011..

They still fund WSDRL Juniors and Group 6 in the CRL…

Wests Ashfield and Wests Campbelltown have always been two separate Entities and never related to each other...
