Wests Tigers 2018 season in a nutshell

Lawrence scored seven meat pies. Been a while since he's scored that many in a season.

Well done Rowdy.

I think for back rowers only Tariq Sims and Gavin Cooper scored more..Rowdy equal with Coen Hess…

Attaining and defending post contact metres is where I'd like to see us improve the most

Exactly my thoughts. The article above about by the numbers clearly shows the areas that must be improved and this is a major. Unfortunately one of our only forwards able to bend the line after contact is going (Sue) so hopefully Madge can work some magic with what we have and maybe even bring someone in.

Poor attack is the other major one for me (lack of tries) which has me concerned. If Liddle is able to step up, Mbye continues his form and Reynolds come good this will help a lot.

He is really one of the best backrowers I've seen at isolating smaller defenders with the lines he runs. Another big plus for him was the way he chased kicks for tries this year. I hope he doesn't retire too soon as I think he is off contract at the end of the 2019 season.

Yeah it's taken a little while for everyone to get on the same page with his runs close to the line. This year there were far fewer hospital passes that saw him lose possession… so I think they have been better with the lead-up, timing and selection too.

Lawrence is only on $350k. On the open market we will have to pay double that to get someone of his standards.
Brooks is on $550.
Newcastle ( if they get Klemmer) will have 3 players all around @1million per season or over 1 mill.
