4. Mbye
5. Thompson
6. Marshall
7. Brooks
8. Twal
9. Grant
10. Packer

13. Taylor

14. Aloiai
15. Musgrove
16. Mikaele
17. Chee Kam

18-21; Talau, Lawrence, Walters, Seyfarth

Bigger bench with players that offer impact as opposed to workhorse types

This is my expectation too. Except sleeper.... Setfarth kills the trials and grabs the 13

I agree with you on Seyfarth and I'll go out on a limb...after a few rounds, Kane Bradley on one wing.
Mate I hope so . I hope he kills it with his size and speed and power . I love Thommo but the bloke is 30. If a big rangy kid is pushing through , especially in today’s game it’s going to take some bloody amazing form to keep a kid like Bradley our . Also if Jennings , can use his new found fitness to find the explosiveness he had as a junior and through the grades , I wouldn’t be surprised to see him . But I secretly have a soft spot for our juniors . To me it really sucked that the “big 4” period of players fell through , with greed , big heads, in fighting , bitchines and tragedy (Fotuika) bEinstein par for the course.
I hope these kids love the jersey and the club.

Mate, I think it's going to happen. We seem to have quite a few coming through at a good time under a good coach. If we start winning, which I think we will, these boys are going to stick around.

Never seen the big fella in action, although I have seen he’s got some good size to him which would be a good attribute which has been lacking in tigers packs over the years.
Would want a little aggression and purpose in his runs but, as I also think lots of past forwards, for us in particular, run it soft into the line and never threaten to bend the line or let out an offload. Fingers crossed he has that dynamic skill set and he should come a long way.

From what I saw last year , runs it hard and is an angry red man. Had ball skills and really lead the CC forward pack in his first year . If he plays firsts ( he's highly rated by the club, and basically every other club, judging by the shifty Souths tried to pull off season tigers early on , in the Doueihi negotiation) I don't see him not making. Position his own

14. Eisenhuth

16. Lawrence
17. Chee-Kam

Main differences to the consensus 17:
I prefer Thompson over Jennings.
Eisenhuth in for Packer - I haven’t seen any evidence that Packer is out of Maguire’s doghouse (did I miss something?).
I have Lawrence in the 17 at the expense of a back up hooker. If Grant needs a spell we can put Chee-Kam in the centres and Mbye at hooker.

No one seems to have Tommy Talau in their 17. I would play Tommy T or MCK as a utility rather than a backup hooker. Moses can go to hooker if the DH needs a spell.

It looks as though there will be 4 or 5 new faces to kick off Round 1. Love Lawrence however cant find a spot for him in our top 17. On paper our squad looks stronger than last season.

We need new faces from the lower grades in the NRL team in addition to the new buys. Talau (left centre) and Seyfarth (13 or interchange). Other players who some believe are automatic selections eg Aloiai perhaps need to start in CC to really earn selection in the NRL. Aloiai has so much going for him but either injury or inconsistant form prevents him from achieving his gifts.

Need 3 big boppers on the bench in today’s game, or you have a radley /Murray type 13 , who despite thier size offers , 80 mins and lots of tackling and quick play the balls . Then you might carry an edge and a back. With Chee Kam though, we don’t need to do that , as he offers both. And , Madge has always seemed to want a big forward pack who dents the denfensive line .

Gonna be good to have any variation of Twal, Clark, Mikalele, Musgrove , Packer and Aloai , Taylor and Eisenhuth in the middle , all game.

Good luck dealing with that other teams ! That’s some serious power and size .

An old mate of mine use to love telling a story about accidentally head-highing a fellow called Carrots Morrison when he played for Old Bar, and the reception he copped at the pub afterwards.

Not after his first two games with our NRL team.

Feel there is only room for two of Lawrence, Taylor, Eisenhuth and Garner.

Also have Packer and Clarke grouped as only one can make it. Maybe neither but definately not both.

Competition is tough. Its refreshing.

Hoping Mybe, Talau and Grant all make the 17 but maybe only two of them can. We will see.

Can't wait for round 1

MCK is an impact bench forward and a terrible centre. Hopefully he never starts a game in the centres and very rarely comes on as a replacement there

Any mail on our 9s squad? Don’t think Madge will risk Brooks or Benji. Players I’m looking forward to watching are Thomas,Talau, and Lucy should be handful in this. Also will Patty play in the 9s?
