Wests Tigers announce leadership group for 2022

Imagine if they both kill it this year and we lay a good foundation this season for an even bigger 23. Thats my hope for the year
If that happened Kearnsy this Forum would become a ghost town, unless covid topic still going 🤔

Sounds like the 5 C's was a Sheenius ploy to get more captains' challenges!

I think the likely scenario is: they want Doueihi as captain but no point naming a bloke who will miss half the season.
Tamou is incumbent but will be lucky to be on the field more than half the game.
So already need a 3rd choice, say Brooks.
Now there is the likelihood that 3rd choice will miss a game at some point before Doueihi returns and it is conceivable that a 4th will be needed.
So, I can understand how we've ended up with a leadership group, rather than 1 club captain.
Disappointed that the media and many of our supporters haven't given much thought to how or why we have adopted this model.

I think Ken being apart of the group is a good thing.
His & Nofos hitups to start our sets are crucial. It might appear to be a small thing but if they can start us well, meters and quick play the balls we then gain a large advantage in field position.

Last year we ranked last in return meters by close to 500mtrs (not a small margin), hopefully this kicks the backs into gear and we get a huge boost.

Because it’s incorrect?

I think you've missed the point Greg
I think i may have as well? If the point is that it shows a lack of true leaders at the club, then i 100% agree. I don't see any issue with that criticism.
But, my point is naming a leadership group, instead of a solitary captain, as a way of trying to compensate for the lack of leaders at the club, particularly when the two most likely candidates are not going to be on the field for half the season, seems a logical if not conventional thing to do. I get our club is rarely treated kindly by the media but where is balanced reporting of how the Tigers have come to this decision? Instead we've got sniggering and cheap shots from both old and new media.
