Wests Tigers board back Taylor ..

This keeps coming up because the media keeps asking the question.

Tigers have been rock-solid on the Taylor-Farah thing for months now, so the media has given up on it. Their current favourite controversy angles are "will JT see out 2016?" and "will Tigers lose Brooks and/or Moses?". From time to time they revisit "will Balmain Tigers fold / who will buy out Balmain".

There has not been enough football 2016 to give them much other content to fill their quotas. Even now I must have read 10 articles this week about Mitch Moses, how he has stepped up his game and can now get better, how coach has given him more licence etc. etc. This is after just one game.

If we perform this year I think it's clear proof that last year was a big mistake. Our squad has been widely tipped to get the spoon. If we do better than that I think it will be based a fair bit on having winning game plans.

You'll never drop this will you? Even if we have miraculously made the GF this yr, GF week you'd still be sprouting ''we could have been here last yr if it wasn't for Taylorball''. Is it possible for you to leave last yr behind?

I honestly think you guys should drop the talk

The irony

I think it's quite obvious that Taylor has had a productive off season with the squad. There is an improved attitude and our attacking structures are heading in the right direction.
I believe that if we started the season like Newcastle has then it would be appropriate to say we should expect more of the same from last year. So far so good. Let's see how the team play tonight. Winning this game isn't the only criteria re Taylor. It's more important to analyse how we play the game….is he moving the squad towards top 8 or was last week a one off?

Agree.
my observations After Rounds 1 & 2\. The teams that are looking good are the teams that those that have good forwards that can pass as well as make metres, sucking defenders into the middle. We did this in the first 20 mins against the Warriors by not having a traditional Hooker. Players like Lawrence, Sirro and Lovett running angles and passing to one another.
Souths and the Bulldogs are done this well with players like Graham's passing game. Canberra have lost a lot of halves this season and had a 2nd Rower at 5/8\. they won yesterdays game with strong forwards passing the ball like Papalii. They dropped the ball so much in the first half, but once they were able to hold it, the points just kept coming.
