Wests Tigers Captain 2019

Has to be Lawrence. Grub has plenty of passion, but think Lawrence can interact better with the referees.

I would make sure Nofa is part of the leadership group.

Me too Harv - he can tie up Rowdy's boots.

Chris Lawrence will be the captain.

Gut feeling and what you hope it is or you actually know some inside info

I heard it from family that sponsor the Tigers this year. Makes sense given Reynolds is often injured, Benji and Robbie have one more year, Packer only plays 40 and ET may not be a starter.

Brooks would be my long term choice to take over.

Please only one Captain. Multiple players at Captain makes the term meaningless. One Captain named Chris Lawrence will do me.

Honestly I don't really care. A captain in Rugby League for mine is not like a cricket captain. They re hardly making any tactical calls, selection calls or great speeches that can turn a game. I prefer one or two however Madge had multiple captains and won comps. Swans used to have multiple captains and won comps. I think its more to with with having good cattle and good game plans then who tossed the coin and fires up the boys behind the goal posts.

Cricket captaincy is overrated , they have messages coming on the field every 10 minutes

Ronnie Palmer can give the boys a mouthful behind the posts

Make the best coin tosser /guesser captain …..simple :sign:

wont and shouldnt happen but I'd love to know who the playing group themselves would nominate- only two spots- one as captain the other as vice captain and backup. That is always a fascinating thing to see who the players themselves value. I'd suspect Lawrence would be up there.

Captain and Vice captain is all that's needed. Don't need 17 captains named.

Rowdy © as my pick.

Ha …lol the guy 95.69% wanted gone...yes i did a poll over the years

Rowdy all the way been saying it for 5 years...

To be fair he was a complete hack for a few years !

I’d go for Reynolds as captain as I think he’s shows more passion and enthusiasm than what Lawrence does

I'm not sure that complete hacks get selected for the Kangaroos and play 200+ games…...

Bwaiff would qualify.

Grub is a leader but doesn't need to be captain. He will have his say anyway same as benji and robbie. Packer also. Rowdy to me is the clear favourite imo as he epitomizes the role

Hopefully we won't be behind the posts as much this year.
100% Rowdy for single captain.

Reynolds has played 47mins for the Tigers and people want to make him captain.

Fair dinkum

Come on TIGER,a little bit unfair seeing he was injured for a long time…if fit he would be a great selection for captaincy,at least as VC if Rowdy were to get injured...Reynolds is passionate, enthusiastic and definately loves being part of the WTs as his new team.I honestly think we will see a very mature player and positive influence from Grub this year..just my opinion..

Good to have a leader that commands respect and can inspire his team mates when times are drastic… Many underestimate the role.
Rowdy (C)
Brooks (vc)... it's time he's ready

I would like to see Farah or Reynolds as captain , someone who will soeak up for his team and ask the ref questions and continually yap . Rowdy is too nice a guy and accepts the refereeing decisions too softly

Talk about taking 3 steps backwards

I think we all underestimate Rowdy in this regard. I know I used to, so I see why you have this opinion. However I believe there has been a shift in Lawrence. The way I saw him ripping into the team at times late in the year makes me feel he is the only option for us. If he doesn't tick every box he comes closer to ticking them then anyone else.

Mbye for vice captain.

Reckon Ink could be on a winner ….great move for Brooks ......make him even ante up even more

Only bloke outside these guys would be Packer as a VC

Perosnally I liked the 5 captains model as I think they each brought different things to the role and the team and it put more pressure on them all to stand up. Off field probably Lawrence but onfield Packer

Yep no coincidence our best winning percentage player was Packer
