Excuse the ignorance, is it at home base at Concord?

Yes they have torn down Concord Oval to build it.

If they build it ....will HE come ??

Who? Kevin Costner's dad?

No Steve of course ...why would Kevin Costner's dad .....never mind

You have seen the movie you paraphrased?

Seriously though when I see that part of the movie ...I usually shed a tear ...my Dad and I have had some epic fall outs .....and I often worry that something we have said to each other will be our last words before we go to the grave ...but he is a Broncos and Man U supporter ...so you can't blame me occasionally

I really enjoy that movie.

Right up there with my favourite sports movies

Will be interested to see the outcome. Fox had a story on the new $40m cowboys facility and it looked brilliant.

Training facilities, recovery, physio, pool and an industrial kitchen to prepare all meals for players.

They mentioned that they are looking to let other sporting teams hire.

Found something under the proposed location if the community centre. Possibly slow the whole thing down a bit.

With all respect to indigenous culture, I hope this doesn't slow us down too much.
Hope there will be available concessions, aboriginal input, going forward.
The club has improved their programs massively in the last few years.
We'll see.

There are 2 buildings, that is at the location of the second building and is not expected to slow the progress on building that will be home to the Wests Tigers

Unless they find more and more. Fingers crossed anyway

Can only be a good thing, to have a culturally significant location to be a apart of our community centre. Especially if we are trying to engage with more of the indigenous community and players.
I’d imagine they would be treating this with the upmost care and respect.

If they have found evidence of artefacts they will extend the area. Happened quite a bit in the US with the native Americans.

It wouldn’t hurt, but I fear it will have no bearing in the matter, which now rests with the Labor/Greens legislation. That area must also be close to the GNR project? Another historically significant site?

They have to wait for Tony Robinson and his crew to fly out from the UK.

I am so thankful for the Concord Centre Of Excelence. Its a great step forward for our club.

However I fear that the very same COE may compound our nomadic Home ground Situation.

It's a hard one to fix.

My Dream has been 1 primary Location where we train and play most of our Home Games.

LO and Cambo will always be special but imagine a Bankwest type stadium with Black, Gold and White seats were we trained every day and played 10 of our 14 Home games.

Our own fortress.

That never happens in these modern times. No clubs train on the grounds they play on. It costs too much in grounds maintenance these days.

Penrith have about 10 training ovals.
I’d say Canberra would be similar. Cowboys probably train at 1300Smiles.
Eels train at Kellyville.
Melbourne probably old Olympic park ground.
Sharks and manly may be the exception to the rule.
