Apparently we are getting $58 million?
Great news if true.

If this is the money Justin Pascoe bid for it is a job very well done. Imagine the boost to junior development in our region with this money. Kids being able to stay in the (I assume) Macarthur district and train at hi tech and modern facilities will not only put us on a level playing field with clubs like the Panthers but hopefully will arrest the drain of talent to other clubs.

As a WestsTigers supporter, that is so true

Like to think it is true - I know we applied for x amount to build the C of E - this is a lot more than asked for. If it is true the extra could be put to very good use.

We could Update Lichhardt and the team GYM.

This much was more or less confirmed ages ago, and potentially more depending on further info and budgets as we had asked for over $100 million.
The COE is a multi purpose community facility in Concord, with the PCYC also chipping in

Hopefully it's true, will believe it when I see it as others have mentioned

City Of Canada Bay Announces Biggest Budget To Date
19 June 2018 | Council
Today's budget announcement features over $150 million in capital works - the biggest program the City of Canada Bay has ever seen, said City of Canada Bay Mayor Angelo Tsirekas.
'The budget announcement comes off the back of the largest community engagement project we have ever undertaken - our Community Strategic Plan. We went to the community to build a plan for our future to meet the opportunities that lie ahead, and now we are ready to hit the ground running,' said Mayor Tsirekas.
Highlights of the 2018-2021 delivery program span across a range of service areas.
**The budget proposes $30 million for the redevelopment of Concord Oval, providing world class sporting and recreation facilities for our community, and a Wests Tigers Centre of Excellence.**
Sporting groups will benefit from a $4.4 million project providing new synthetic playing surfaces at Majors Bay Reserve in Concord.
The streetscape upgrades along Great North Road will continue with a $3.3 million makeover, part of the Five Dock Public Domain Upgrade.
'It's an exciting time for the City of Canada Bay. Along with these key projects, we are developing a new bike plan in consultation with the community, identifying how future pedestrian and cycling infrastructure can benefit active residents, workers, and visitors alike.'
In the 2018-19 capital works budget alone City of Canada Bay will spend $21 million on capital works, including $6 million on parks and seawalls, $5.3 million on footpath upgrades, $3 million on roads, and over $880,000 on swimming pools.

Just kidding fellow forumers ….this is the best news we have had for a very long time and I personally hope it comes to fruitition and not just be a promise that never eventuates....

Reallistically the Wests Tigers need a great confidence booster from admin to on field performances.....this will inject that enthusiasm that we require to recruit top class players and develop juniors so as we will be a realistic NRL force to reckon with for many, many years to come...
