@Eddie said:I tihnk we owe it to Mick Potter to give him another season. He is showing some real backbone and making some real changes. I think with this review, hopefully Mick can work on some of the aspects of his communication that might have been a bit rookie like this year. However having come through the year from hell, you learn a lot more sometimes that way.
These sort of experiences are tough and they can steel people and make them even better coaches. I just hope that the Tigers senior guys have the common sense to give him another go. I think if we can go from 6 wins to say 10 next year, with some real cabage to spend in 2015, and a real direction with the way we want to recruit when by 2015 we could really see a great turnaround.

Well said as always Eddie.
I hope our senior players are man enough to sort out any differences they have with Potter over the off season and move forward.
@happy tiger said:The big issues will be attracting talent , if the melodramas which we are faced with now are still circling when we are looking at spending the million dollars we have left in cap space for 2015 are still about we won't have anyone even prepared to talk turkey , let alone sign on the dotted line

United we stand divided we fall …. If the players don't want him then it won't work no matter how good a coach he is.
100% with you on this!
You guys ever been managers before? Sometimes the troops get restless because the manager is hopeless, but just as often the troops get restless because the manager is very good and putting them under the spotlight.
I wouldn't assume that certain whinging players / leaks to media are evidence that Potter can't do his job. Let us not forget last year all the rubbish that played out when Sleau and Heighno were released - unfortunately we are a club at the moment where everything plays out in the media.
Compare, for example, to the Doggies who underwent such enormous issues like the rape allegations 2004, SBW exit, sexist comments after the GF, salary cap breaches etc. So little of their inner politics played out in the media, esp once they'd parted ways with Wille Mason and his big mouth.
Bottom line is players look after themselves and if they can sacrifice the coach to take pressure of themselves, you can be sure that they'll do it! (you only have to look at us last year and how quickly they turned on Sheensie)
Not sure I get what you're saying. If we keep Potter we run the risk of another player revolt but if I read you correctly you would rather keep the coach and risk losing the players. What do you think will happen if we don't win many of our first say 8 or 9 games ? I reckon there's a better than even money chance it will be all on again.

Surely after all these years of Ink on the whine that you would know better!!!
