Wests Tigers coach Tim Sheens is poised to shift Tim Moltzen

I agree willow. Its another crazy bench decision

If this is true, then is it any wonder some players would have the dirts as the rumours go,if they can see their coach picking teams like that,I would be filthy too.
It is like Sheens wants to lose taking a bench of Meaney and Miller into this game, surely a gee up,Sheens can't be that stubborn/stupid.

I would have liked him to give him a little more time to get his feet right..! I don't think this is the answer! What happens if Moltzen has a shocking game as fullback! and I still think Jacob has another 1 or 2yrs to make it to NRL leavel..

Well he has had shocking games at halfback and no doubt will have another shocking game on Monday night. Then he should be dropped altogether.

I don't know what anyone see's in this player.

Sounds good to me all we need now is John grant in the team off the bench and we will be unstoppable

Whats this crap about finding his feet ??? Find some ticker and the rest will follow.!!!

I like the idea, if true.

Moltzen seems mentally fragile to me. I hope his performances at half (and last week's effort in particular) haven't ruined his confidence. He looks much better running off his boss Benji.

There's no doubt who's scrubbing the dunnies in that household

very interesting on a couple of levels.

obviously miller going to half is a big one.i will be interested to see how sheens reacts to a bad game from miller.
i don't see this as a knee jerk reaction because of the farah loss.
so i would assume we will get the chance to see miller alot during april.
his form could really shape which way we head with recruitment over the next few months.

if humble is going to the bench to play hooker, that really interests me.
if he can show a little spark now and then,he could be a handy bench player who could also help giving farah a spell at times like some have wanted.
add that he can fill some backline spots, and he may even get more than 5mins out of the spot.

i like changes like this, just for curiosity.
hopefully curiosity doesn't kill the cat.

Seen this all before,I have huge doubts miller will get a real go at 7.Lazarus and miller himself have all been given the jumper before, but come game time they arnt given a real go,They have no real involvement and end up at dummy half or fullback in blakes instance mid way through the game. If sheens is serious he has let him play for the full game and be the first reciever and be the first 5th tackle option.

In saying that though in the games I have seen jake play this year ,he hasnt been great and has looked disinterested. No doubt he has the talent though.Just watching the footy last night shows how much we are costing our selves as a football team with poor kicking on the 5th tackle.Giving the oposition a 20 to 30 m head start every set. Jake can kick the ball.

Same goes with moltzen and his kick returns, still wasnt convinced in the finals that he does enough returning the ball.

Moltzen was never given the no7 role to play, Marshall and farah were given that role so its very hard to be critical of Moltzen the only thing that Tim was given was the no7 on his back. So if Miller gets the same role he will fail to. I get very frustrated because our coach seems to want to complicate things all the time rather than pick players in traditional positions to play traditional roles. Both Melbourne and Manly seem to be able to keep it pretty simple and it works. I saw Penrith dominate the other night on the back of a no9 and a no7 playing a very simple game plan, yet our coach always wants to pull a rabbit from the hat. I just think its early days keep it simple and when things are firing than you can afford the luxury of going left field

This is not a Farah bag at all , but Miller gets the chance to play number 7 for real ,there will be no falling back to our hooker overtaking his plays .If the forwards roll .Miller will have a good one imo

Let's hope he is given that luxury but in reality he won't ,being coach Sheens will probably thought out a plan where Ellis will play the no7 role and Aysford will play front row. The coach has a great playing roster and can't getbit right,it would be great if like in QLD the people could vote

Robbie on 702 tonight saying he couldn't answer as he hasn't been training with the team, just doing fitness stuff….so it is probably true and he's not telling

Look at this telegraph reporters who scour through this forum, Robbie is on the outer. He doesn't even go to training, the feud is for real…

Lollll except the tigers put photos up of Robbie training with the team, but telecrap will overlook that anyway

I hope you are right! There is no doubt that for whatever reason Farah ruled the roost when Miller played previously. It doesn't make sense to me that Miller isn't allowed to play his natural game - after all it did work with Lui making his own contributions.

this is a stupid idea if it comes to fruition.. marshall and moltzen need to learn to work together as a half and five eight… shifting moltzen to fullback does not do us any favours..

why play miller for 2 games and then shaft him back to u/20's? its a waste.

we have politini who can cover farah and the rest can stay unchanged..

:crazy

Your assuming the plan is to move Miller back. If he plays well there and Moltzen plays well at the back Sheens will not change the team again.

nah im not.. moltzen is not a fullback.. so even if miller were to stay, it means moltz would then be used in the #1…

so im just genuinely not happy about it at all

I don't know which forum member/alleged player came out & said both humble & meaney would be on the bench & moors would drop off,but I didn't/couldn't believe sheens would have 2 backs on the bench but you were right.I'm still a fan of Sheens, but sometime's his decisions surprise you.
