It was always an each way bet whether Ciraldo would take the job. We are not a club that successfully targets the people we want - especially if they have percieved better options. It is well documented that the Tigers were all in for Ciraldo and thought they had him. I don't subscribe to the knives in the back thing re Madge as it was clear Sheens wanted Ciraldo, not himself, in the main role. If Morris doesn't want the job, as some have reported, maybe the club is getting desperate and see that Sheens can provide some short term stability and direction. Who knows?
The last nail in the coffin.Wests Tigers supremo Tim Sheens has indicated to the club that he is willing to step into the hot seat and coach the club next season.
Sources with knowledge of the situation told the Herald that Wests Tigers powerbrokers have approached Sheens to see if he has any interest in returning to NRL coaching a decade after he was sacked by the club.
While the Tigers are still exploring their coaching options for next year, there has been huge support from club greats for Sheens to fill the void created by Michael Maguire’s sackingearlier this season.
The club has approached Sheens to gauge his appetite and are considering offering him the job for next season.
The club knows the 71-year-old would be a short-term solution. He would help get the club back on track and mentor a group of assistants, eventually grooming one of them to take over when he finishes up in a couple of years.
The Tigers are also considering making an offer to Eels forward Nathan Brown to join the club. Brown was recently granted a release from his management company Ignite Sports, which is led by Joe and Johnathan Wehbe.
Brown, who returned to the NRL against the Tigers on Saturday nightafter a stint in reserve grade, is currently in discussions with other agents.
He will then sit down with the Tigers to discuss a potential return to the club.
Parramatta is unlikely to stand in his way. He has another year to run on his deal.

i checked your postsThat post you quoted is me saying who Sheens is investigating.....obviously not Sheens.
3 days later I posted EXACTLY what is going on now and you said I was FOS.
"The Wests Tigers have had their first 4 choices decline the offer. They are now in a holding pattern considering whether to pursue a left of field option or ask Sheens."
What I mean is once Brooks 1.1 - 1.3 mil deal is overOur cap is free now. That excuse has expired.
And rectanolThe face of Metamucil.
Agree Nofoaloma is starved for ball on right previous 2 or 3 games not even one decent draw and pass to him on rightsideI did enjoy the switch of Nofoaluma to the left, He played one of his better games in a long while. At the end when we needed points. Nofoaluma and Brooks delivered off the back of the some hard forward play. Whomever was responsible for the switch made a great decision.
Often wondered what happened to smoking gun?
Never heard from him after he posted that stupid supposed text between braith anasta and sheens trying to undermine potter.
