When one looks at the recruitment of Moss… maybe the new Board, NRL & Mayer (or just the first two) had this under control from the get go.
The whole Seek ad thing appeared a debacle to us, but was it a token gesture of transparency for a man headhunted and perhaps even funded by NRL??

In terms of tactics, Taylor was by and far the best choice given we have some naturally talented footballers. The halves should also develop very nicely under him. Will be interesting to see how the relationship between he and Robbie develops.
I just hope he has matured from his time at Souths. I imagine he had a hand in Robinson's success at Easts as well.
I welcome him, but I hope he has a thick skin and owns a kevlar vest.

Money probably came into the decision as well
We've got to be prepared to give him two years , he needs to see what is worth keeping and deadwood players retention wise and then get some of the players he wants

A poor appointment in my view, one that you can only assume was driven by the Magpie Board Members. Ejected from the SCG for throwing cups of urine in the air during the Mexican Wave, not having the common sense to make himself scarce on Mad Monday etc.
The Club had the opportunity to free itself of the past and create a new, unattached culture, free of the Sironens, Roaches, Leeds, Paytens etc. Anthony Griffin would have brought not just a good coaching brain, but a new group of assistants and most importantly, a mature, no nonsense approach, without having to pay homage to any political masters
Having someone with more money than sense seems to be our only long term hope

Sos me KS….I think the timing for him coinciding with the timing of a lot of our young players, like brooks touch wood will be pushing for nearly 80 or 90 FG games by the end of JTs 2nd season....it seems a good fit to me
