Wests Tigers confirm Jason Taylor as new coach

This is a team he inherited, not built. Give him a chance to put together the team he wants, then hold him accountable.

That's somewhat debatable. He punted about 4 players after he got here. One has probably turned out to be the buy of the yr for another club. He had a lot more control over his side than Potter had in his first season.

Like Potter was given his own team to show he could coach …but wait he could not coach!

Potter was accountable to Farah, this team and JT are accountable to none ….the smart ones left the rabble....

We play with no passion and no aggression I guess they go hand in hand. structure is fantastic if tough from a young age but the tigers have never played like that and to now change it it's going to take time.

Last nights game was so lifeless and played with no passion or desire to win… When does accountability come in to the equation... If I don't make my target within 3 months there goes my job why don't they have KPI's.

Potter at least had the plays playing with heart if only he had the chance to pick his own staff what could he have done with the team?? I know that's the past but to be honest with the way things are going It may take a few years to achieve something and with JT I'm not sure it will ever happen.

Structure wasn't part of the culture of the Tigers if you want structure his going to have to change the team. Play with what you have and implement things slowly.

Geo - i'm dissappointed you brought this thread up again to appease the naysayers - all you did was raise negativity - what about all the thousands of supporters who will be at our next game - why didnt you spare a thought for them - the ones who will sit out in the cold

As I have said a few times he was given a three year contract and we must give him that time to turn the place around through recruitment, retrenchment and development. In say all that I am very critical of the one out plodding we are doing at present, but I will give him the term of his contract to prove me wrong. The last thing we need is a new coach every year

It depends on who your current coach is. We have a complete dud at this point. If we had Potter or Sheens I would agree with you. I also think Sheens had to go but he never put out game plans like Taylor has.

It was a request from a member a who was interested in the thread and couldn't find it…nothing more nothing less...I would do the same for anyone...

As for the last bit I'll be there cheering with them...

if a member requested you jump of the harbour bridge would you do that to?
you were just feeding his/her narcissism thats all
thought you of all people knew better

Jason Taylor good coach but needs to improve. Whenever the Tigers play, he should let Mitchell Moses and Luke Brooks do whatever they like to do. Jason controls them sometimes. Tigers work harder!! :sign:

Yes I would…X would you like me too

Why is this a negative thread cause we lost 3 games in a row?
