Farah - selfish play kept turning over the ball. I would rest him from the remainder of the tournament. Ad lib football is when he is at it worst these days.

Apart from that, we were very poor. Tedesco and Patterson were the exceptions.

All the new recruits looked good - Austin, Tapau, Patterson, Richards all did well.

Our defence was very poor.

Oh well its only a bit of fun.

Yep

Yeah so would I , like ink says no point to risk injuries

While our defense and ball control remain a glaring issue, I think we lost because we didn't really put too much thought into our game plan.
It seems Potter is just letting the boys improvise, seems to not have payed off.

I was very impressed by Cory Patterson. He could really be a smokey for us for the NRL season

And we're back in the room. Why can't anyone on this site just watch and enjoy what is a kick about at the park. Why not just enjoy watching our and the other player throwing the ball around.

Stop taking everything so seriously.

I think beyond this format I liked what I saw for the NRL season.
Taupau, Gavet and Patterson will add a lot to our pack. Some much needed aggression and size.

Teddy was fantastic. Could be in for a good season. And I was also pleased with Austin, him and Brooks together could be a great halves pairing.

The score isn't that good an indication of the actual game. A couple of 50/50 penalties going the way of the Gold Coast and it completely changes the match.

You have to shoot the ball out wide in attack. No use reversing the play back into the centre- Robbie!!!

A few of the young blokes were amazing which was great to see.

Tedesco will be a superstar of the game by the end of the year if he stays fit.

I have said it before and I'll say it again. Koro is the worst defender I have seen play first grade. he literally has no Idea how to make a defensive read or tackle. He's not a first grader. I dont think he ever will be.

Farah continues to play dumb football. He seems almost incapable of making a good decision with the ball in hand and it seems to be getting worse

Gavet looked amazing as did Tapau with the ball but I'm a bit surprised no one commented on how poor his defense was. He fell off a lot of tackles.

Overall people writing this off as nothing are mistaken i think.

We still cant hold on to the ball, we still can't tackle and we can't control the speed of the game without giving away penalties.

It's funny tracing through these comments. You think most would be happy the footy is back and there's no injuries haha

I dunno Sabre , 5 tries to 1 was pretty true indication of the game

I think a lot of sides would of learnt a lot from watching the Titans play 9's

They appear to have put a lot of thought into their game particularly kick offs

Well they played 9s and we looked like we were trying to play 7s. We had something like a 1/3 possession and a 0-5 penalties so we couldn't win under those conditions. Aside from a bit of dropped ball we weren't terrible but the game plan wasn't there and the 3 tries in a row just killed us off. Forwards looked good - it's not really Woods' game. Tedesco was superb, Koro needs to spend more effort running with the ball and less on trying to decapitate people in defence.

This is my real worry. He was poor to very poor for most of last year. It was no surprise that we played one of our better games in attack - against the Dragons - when Farah was out.

Farah's simple game can be very good. He needs to go back to basics.

It's a shame we didn't put more into our preparation. $110K just for making the finals definitely wouldn't have gone astray.

No game plan looked like they went out and just hope for the best. Wow Tedesco he looks bigger and faster then ever. Patterson looked good but to many penalties and lost ball.

With Marshall gone, Robbie will have nowhere to hide this year. He needs to play a good hookers game, not try to do it all. We have some talent to do the rest this year.

Pretty sure every team gets $110k. $130k for the first round of finals I think.
