WESTS TIGERS INJURY REPORT Round 7

2 Props and a winger goneski.
That's football.
That's bad timing.
That's time for the rest to really have dig.
That's called teamwork.

Wests Tigers have copped a triple blow with Alex Twal, Robert Jennings and Zane Musgrove to be sidelined for a significant period.

Late Mail: Round 7
Round 7 NRL squad announcements
Musgrove's outlook appears the worst of the trio. The prop is set to miss 10-12 weeks after scans confirmed he suffered a lisfranc foot fracture against the Cowboys last round. Recovery from a Lisfranc injury depends on its severity and the success of the surgery. Most surgeries will require 6-12 weeks of wearing casts and special walking boots. Physical therapy and rehabilitation will also take time. Full recovery may occur after a year, but this can vary greatly.Aug 24, 2017

Twal will miss around a month with the workhorse lock's knee injury, while Jennings is out indefinitely with the winger suffering a high-grade hamstring tendon injury.

In better Tigers news, hooker Jacob Liddle is nearing the end of his ACL rehabilitation and should be available for selection in round 14 or 15.

Jennings must have been lame when Mbye put Brooks over the line ..

No he was there behind Mbye.... Brooks just went past him in the space of 5m..

Can somebody check on Russ...if he has read about Jennings being out indefinitely..he is probably that overjoyed he may have done himself an injury doing cartwheels...

Packer is not in the team to be a grand master tactician, he is there to be violent presence that deters people from running straight and hard. From what I saw two weeks ago there was nothing to suggest that he is adverse to hurting people.

We need an enforcer, all for that, but in that game he was a loose canon who's recklessness probably cost us the game.

Im sure Madge will have certain words for Packer....he will have to be a leader when he is on the field...Madge wont put up with brain snaps anymore...

Didn’t packer receive a 3 game suspension. On that count he wouldn’t be available till a f/n from now?

I think it was only 2 games...we will need him against the Riff...I hope it was only 2 games...

2 matches..took the early plea

Sometimes things happen for a reason and it was a tough blow to loose 3 players for extended periods in 1 game ( regardless of Jennings). This will hopefully put an emphasis on Madge building (recruiting) some solid depth in this squad and taking more chances on youth talent.

Wasn't Packer one of Voldemort's recruits? Personally, I will enjoy watching him iron out the chin.

We have had a team with ‘solid’ depth for years, half the problem. The 2018/2019 had players that had been their before ‘experienced’ but a little past it ‘cheaper to recruit’.
Personally I don’t see us improving going off that existing format;
Madge seems intent in having a team of young stars with plenty of potential; and trying to mould them into role players so that their job is simplified and experience isn’t so much of a concern. The final piece will be replacing our overpaid, underplayed ‘stars’ with proven first graders at to or close to the peak of their game!

I had a bad feeling that it would be a ***lis franc*** for Musgrove. That is terrible news for him, 10-12 weeks could be optomistic, id be surpirsed to see him on the field this season. Lucky it's not so bad for Twal. Jennings meh.

Lis Franc is bad. Beanzabuvtha Franc is much worse

I'm going to have trouble with my zipper all week now, thanks a bunch!

Terrible news for Musgrove, he was one forward who was regularly denting the line. Opens up the door for Packer again which I'm not thrilled about but hopefully he can add something to the team.

Don’t want to see him in first grade ever again, I don’t care how many injuries we have!

Lucky we didn't loan out Huth

Not kidding, quite a few clubs have done loans/trades they probably wish they could take back.
