Who partnered Ayshford last year when Chris was recovering from his broken jaw?

I think Daniella. Brown played a game at centre some stage last year and looked good from memory.

Not sure if anyone was watching the Roast today but Phil Gould said Ivan Cleary got the same injury in 1997.

He did it in a trial game and didnt return until just before the finals, so based on that you have to say its 50/50 if he will make it back this year.

The positive was Cleary had a blinder of a season in 1998 so it doesnt look like the will be lasting affects.

not sure how true this is but word from the bulldogs camp seems to confirm an earlier thread on farah:

he is carrying a serious injury - hip labrum (not groin) - which is a slight tear to the cartilage as much as I understand it. this means he does not run at training and as a result does not kick long during the game. surgery is the only fix but this would rule him out for 4 months and so is obviously not going to happen during the season. it is restricting his game to some degree unfortunately. how they have info on opposition players i do not know. clearly, i hope they are way off the mark…

Lawrence's scans are tomorrow - apparently the scanners at Campbelltown Hospital were broken.

I don't think the outlook is good, his joint was dislocated for a few hours. We can only hope.

what will he recover faster from you think INK hip or head ???

3-4 months for lawrence is best case according to a doctor friend of mine.
worst case is 12 months full recovery.
fingers crossed he is wrong on both counts!

really feel for chrissy. thought he would play for nsw for sure this year.

any word on lote?

Monday as well, although I'm not sure why. An X-Ray would have revealed a break immediately.

All scans must be checked and verified by the specialist probably find specialist won't be in til Monday no matter what they find for fairly obvious reasons

an update from Wests Tigers:

Wests Tigers wish to provide further information on the injuries to two of its players, Lote Tuqiri and Chris Lawrence.

An X-Ray today confirmed that Tuqiri has a fracture of the radius bone in his right forearm. He is expected to undergo minor corrective surgery on his forearm this week. The likely recovery time will be approximately eight weeks.

The Club can also report that Chris Lawrence was discharged from hospital earlier tonight after his dislocated hip was successfully manipulated back into position.

He will undergo further scans tomorrow to confirm that the bones are in their proper position and to ascertain whether there are any associated fractures or complications.

Chris is very keen to commence his rehabilitation from this serious injury which is expected to take at least three months.

A further update will be made late on Monday afternoon once results from the scans are known.

Very sobering news we all knew it wouldn't be good but ….. Tigers are all going to have to lift week by week . A very famous man once said " Even the darkest hour is still only 60 minutes "C'mon Tigers you can still win the premiership It will just be more memorable this way

glad Lawrence is out of hospital, if it is 3 months or there abouts that is not 2 bad, much better than i thought, 8 weeks without lote, hurts, but with a broken arm, he'll be right when comes back, just a blip in the radar.

we dont need any more injuries!

Another update from Wests Tigers:

Lote Tuqiri will undergo surgery to his right forearm tomorrow morning after X-rays revealed a fracture to his radius bone.

Following the operation, he will immediately commence his rehabilitation program.

His expected return date is the Round 11 clash v Penrith Panthers at Campbelltown Sports Stadium.

Wests Tigers Club Doctor Donald Kuah said he expected Tuqiri to make a full recovery.

“It’s a relatively straight forward injury that will initially require rest but he will be able to start running in about two weeks and increase his training regime from there. He will be available to play again in eight weeks.”

The Club can also report that this morning’s scans of Chris Lawrence’s injured hip have revealed no fractures or further complications.

He will undergo further scans in approximately six weeks to assess the progress of the recovery to the joint. If given the all clear from there, it’s expected that his return to action will be in late June/early July.

Kuah added, “The hip was successfully manipulated back into place and I’m confident that Chris will make a full recovery from this injury.

“He’s extremely hard working and I have no doubt that he’ll be 100% committed to getting back on the field as soon as he can.”

This is all our fault, we bragged all off season about how good our depth is and now we are testing it. We should all hang our heads in shame…............JINX
