Wests Tigers Jerseys 2017

I think a set of colors akin to the real tiger are the way to go. In that vein, I thought the 2005 premiership winning home jersey was pretty impressive. I really think our home jumper should be something similar and I can't understand the necessity to change one or both of our jerseys every year. Let's develop some identity, even if it means sacrificing a few merchandising dollars. Anyone agree or am I being a conservative stick in the mud?

Ha ha, I also think the old tiger emblem, the one I use as an avatar, is superior to the new modernized version but I expect to be howled down here…..

Funny how a few people on here 'hate' the grey jersey.
I remember reading somewhere that is one of our best sellers.

Grant Meyer claimed it was. Funnily enough I never see people wearing it to games or on the street. Certainly not anywhere near as regularly as our other jerseys.

Agree with those who have not seen any black tigers.

As we are the Wests Tigers and not the Wests Bengal Tigers - the lecture was not really relevant.
Don't need to get into minorities - Tigers are for the most part - Orange, Black with white on the sides of the face, white underbellies, white on backs of their ears and a little splash of white here and there.
Percentage wise black is the least of the three colours, white next and orange the most. No grey! not even in old tigers.

As for green/red rabbits, blue/white bulldogs etc.

Because we have arguably the best animal in the NRL, there is no reason we have to stuff it up like all the others. A white rabbit, a white bulldog with black and white patches etc. are hardly inspiring.

You pick something good and stick with it in my opinion. The big red V is a case in point.

As far as the grey is concerned - I have nothing to back it up, but I bet it is predominately women who make it the best seller?????

Well said.
Not to mention no other team in the comp (apart from occasionally Newcastle) uses Orange. We should be taking advantage of having a colour that sets us apart.

I have heard rumours of the new designs, but I cannot verify if they are accurate or give any great detail as I have not seen images, but have just been told what another person has been told). But with that here is what I have heard:

New home jersey, mainly black with the upper part being orange (what is meant by upper part I do not know, it could be like white on the away this year, or could be just the shoulders).

New away/alternate, similar to this years 9's jersey, but tiger is on the side of the jersey. Jersey is predominantly white and black. With that, I would assume as with previous years that this years orange alternate will become alternate 2 (the same as the grey jersey doing that this year).

And finally apparently one jersey will be worn with orange shorts (source has seen these).

Take these as being just rumours for the moment as I have not been shown images and am getting this information from a source who has only been provided with this information not images either (so basically third hand info which could easily be incorrect).

My choice for next year would be a jersey that had 2017 NRL Premieres on it.

I liked this Jersey the best. Wouldn't look as good with Brydens logo though I don't think

nice and simple, not too much color… i want something like this

plus a white version

Keep it simple, fix the orange and stop changing it.

that is all

The Broncos gold is very similar to ours. Not that it matters.

Im no good at photoshop but couldn't they just change the large V to orange and swap the colours for the other jersey. Gold jersey with black V?

That would be the best option Gallagher. Have the one in the photo as 1 jersey, change the colours to gold with black vee for our other jersey and perhaps a white one with 1 black vee and 1 orange vee on top of each other as a 3rd option.
I like the design of the jersey in the photo, nice, simple and best represents our parent clubs also.

Too simple for the designers i guess.

I think they are trying to move away from having a Wests jersey and a Balmain jersey.

Your probably right, and i don't mind them doing that. But, jeez they come out with some crap. I've never had a fondness to any of our jerseys. I guess its tough to please everyone.
