I wish they would ask for your help using it on merchandise.
Good to see somebody who knows what they are doing.
Unlike your mock up I’ll bet they try to squeeze the wording ‘WestsTigers’ on the front of the cap when it’s totally unnecessary (can be used at sides or back)

Personally reckon the new logo is a winner.

Slightly more modern, better shape, no more cartoon claws and a better balance of the balmain and wests colours.

Love or hate the logo it doesn’t matter. But the article saying the tigers fans are up in arms over it is coming from the Telecrap so called journalist. Another attempt to twist the knife into the West’s Tiger’s back!

See I'm not a graphic designer or a marketing person or a digital copyrighter or whatever the titles are these people hold. I wouldn't really have a clue what makes for a good logo, in terms of digital and design application for a brand, I only know if I like what I see.

I would expect 99% of the folks reviewing the new logo also are not graphic designers, so again don't really understand why changes were made. They are only emoting over whether or not they like "the new one", and 80% of those reactions are not independent assessments, they are in direct comparison to old logos or some non-specific discontent about the lack of Tigers success.

So if a club that doesn't win changes the brand, you get dumb comments like "surely they have better things to do with their time"; as if Tigers don't have multiple employees who can manage multiple tasks at once, some of whom are almost certainly marketing and digital branding experts (or consultants).

Now looking at both of them I reckon the new logo is the neater, cleaner, and more professional look.
And adding to that....when I was watching the Benji highlights that someone put on here earlier, I found what I reckon is my Best Ever players gear....the white strip with white socks...so neat and tidy [unlike me] and professional.

I reckon they could of made a silver or light grey outline in the one on the white background. Would of given it the same scale as the rest whilst still maintaining the same look.

Edit: actually a silver outline as oppose to white on all of them would have looked better in hindsight.

Apia and many other clubs appropriated our old logo into their own versions.

It is quite common for non professional teams to do this as it does not cost them any money to get the design made (is it legal, no, but no-one is going to go after them legally as it isn't worth the cost).

Expect the same with the new logo. It may take several months, to a year but it will happen.
