Wests Tigers NSW Cup teams

Groat was again very good. Woring really hard and leading from the front.

Played the first 40 in one stint, played first 15 of the second, had about 8 - 10 off and finished the game in his last stint. Obviously wanting to improve his fitness.

Inno might be in trouble for a lifting tackle, Masada for a high shot and Luani for fighting. Which will leave no recognised hookers at all if both cop a week. That said I liked the aggro, they didn't start anything but they finished it.

Miller was excellent last night and Jack Madden is a bit of an unsung hero. He gets the job done and improves every week. Same can be said for Bullock.

Hitchcox has been recovering from his ankle issues and also has been hard pressed getting into the team considering the depth of talent. He came on and made that immediate difference though.

One more big game to go. Can't help but notice that somehow the NSWRL favourite sons the Newtown Jets were allowed to move their mid week game to the full comp Bye weekend where no other team was granted such a request.

What it means for Wests Tigers is that rather then play a team in the same position of having a mid week game this Sunday the Knights didn't have to play that game and are fresher and better prepared. It is utter BS

Judging by the stints Groat has been getting over the past 3-4 games, and by performance levels, his return to the nrl is imminent now. Would have to be a chance of getting a run v Souths next week i'd think. Certainly his levels are increasing game by game. Is next week too soon? Time will tell but either way, he's not far off now.

Great to see Groat improving his game time fitness.

Mr T can score a try and may be worth a shot in the NRL if we can not make the top 8.

I read last year alot of Forum members rated Hitchcox.

Does he have the ability to play NRL?

Hitchcox is not the biggest player going around. But he would be the quickest in State Cup team and only Koribete in the NRL team would be faster. He is very dangerous in attack.sound defense, great step and gives it a red hot go. One of those players who could score from anywhere on the field.

His form last year had me thinking he would have been a better bet in the NRL team then players like Reddy, Utai , Ainscough. I Will be interesting to see how he goes now that he is back.

So… Miller is involved in all the scoring.

And we've shown him the door.

Wasn't it Miller's choice to leave for Hull FC as he felt that he wouldn't be able to re-gain his NRL position with the coming threat of Brooks & Moses?, disappointed that he decided to leave as the more pressure for the vacant half back position the better.

The team photo has a framed half City half Country jersey in front of them, what was the relevance?.

The game firstly was a re-scheduled fixtures from the City v Country round. That is also why they were wearing blue and gold socks. Each winning team in the City v Country Round was given the jersey, to help promote the game

It will be a monstorous effort if they can somehow get up today. 3 games against big, physical opposition of quality over 7 days is a huge task
