Wests Tigers NYC squad for Bulldogs trial

Supporters will be able to have a look at the Wests Tigers NYC squad in action for the first time in 2013 in a trial match on Wednesday, January 23.

Wests Tigers will play a trial against Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs at Belmore Sports Ground from 6.30pm. The trial will consist of three 30 minute halves. Entry is free.

Premiership winning Wests Tigers NYC Coach Todd Payten is using the trial match to run his eye over certain players before finalising his permanent squad as they look to defend their title.

Several players have been rested for this trial and will be used in the Wests Tigers trials against Parramatta on February 16 (venue to be advised) and against Sydney Roosters at Allianz Stadium on February 23.

Interesting they are playing Rudolf at centre. That IMO is the position in the back line he is least suited to. He may have bulked up in the off season.

Grammatically incorrect, yes. However they did the same thing last year at Concord against the touring English side who got an almighty touch up.

Geez there are a few handy juniors in that squad likely to miss out. It's a bit of a golden era at the moment for the Tigers NYC side as far as talent goes. If this year's group responds to Payten in the same manner as last year's they'll be hard to hold out again.
