Why does Potter persist with Anasta? I fully understood his selection through the past 6-8 weeks as we had injuries and rep players out, that's fair enough. But now we have a near full strength squad and he still gets picked?
All Anasta has done all year is hinder the team and starve our backs of quality ball, which clearly shows with the form of our backs playing on Anasta's side.
I don't have any criticism towards Potter except this. Grow a set Potter and drop Anasta, put Austin at 5/8 for the rest of the year or Moses and watch the team develop, grow combinations and be a far greater team with a 5/8 that not only will have a go but plays for the team. Something Anasta has never done!

he is obviously the best fullback in the club, but given he is leaving at the end of the year, i think i would tend to lean towards persisting with rowe or trying austin there, or nofo and bringing in koro.
i think a big part of a successful team is the immeasurable gap between 13 players simply being on the field in the same clothes and 13 players acting synergistically.
it is trite to say the sum of the whole is greater than that of its parts, but what do people think about the effect tedesco would have on the team's spirit/camaraderie as opposed to someone else whose future is invested in the tigers?
im sorry if im not articulating this well, but let me try to simplify:
do people here think the team would do better with or without tedesco in the side?!

Great to have a lot of our troops back & hopefully we can continue the momentum we had prior to Robbie & tedesco's injury.
A couple of things though, surely it's time to drop Anasta for Austin. Brooks doesn't need an "experienced" halves partner to help him run the team anymore & if he stuffs up well he'll learn from it.
And Lawrence, although he's been solid hasn't been a threat with or without the ball for a while. I think it's time he made way for Nofo in the centre's & then bring koro in on the wing. Can't let that strike power go to waste anymore.
Re: teddy, happy for him to stay 1st choice fb as long as he continues to play 100%, players come & go but as soon as he stops playing for the team bring back Rowe or give Nofo/Simona a chance at the back.
Really hoping Gavet is back soon.

Players of Anastas standing, be it longevity, experience, previous rep honours, salary etc - coaches, young coaches particulalrly are reluctant to drop them for all matter of reasons.
Pressure from the board, CEO, sponsors can play a part, we seen it with guys like sandow & t-rexx at times too
We saw it for years with sheens..people still think he is some sort of god.
