We either support Wests Tigers or we jump ship or don't support anyone, Any other discussion is irrelevant... Ownership, Location all the crap that gets wheeled out year after year - It's all so irrelevant it's not funny.

I don’t want to get into the semantics of which side does it more, but it exists both ways. There’s still a lot of old Balmain fans rocking the Balmain logo and referring to the colours as black and gold. The battles have died down a lot though over the last 5 or so years, especially on the forum. We’re getting there. Slowly but surely.

I think it's okay for old Western Suburbs and Balmain supporters respectively to wear those colours, it's history and they're both parts of the club we support now.

But agree, the bickering over 'picking sides' will definitely improve as time goes on.

I was born after the merger and I've never seen my generation carry on the Balmain v Western Suburbs arguments our parent's generation have had, simply because I don't feel I belong to a side, even though my dad grew up a Balmain supporter.

I look back fondly on the players that played for Both Clubs that I liked (Yes - I have my favourites) Especially if they went on to play for Wests Tigers.
I look back on them the same why I look back on Players like Harrigan and Mullins (Also favourite players of mine in their day)

If your biggest concern re Wests is that 2 people on a fan made podcast only refer to them as the Tigers, you are doing pretty well.

You have to start somewhere, and without my glasses it’s true, my optics are somewhat below par.
So yes, my output thus far has been very much in the Joey Leilua class, but I promise I’ll knuckle down and have a dig in the coming months.

You be the one that changes it then. Call them Wests every chance you get. Start a revolution.

Will do. And with the help of Wests Ashfield, who knows, that revolution may ultimately bear fruit (that’s if an uprising can actually yield grizzly produce?)

As long as nobody calls us Balmain or Magpies i have no problem.To me i will always call them Tigers as i have done for over 55 years but have no issue with any ex Magpie supporter calling them Wests

I’ve also heard talkback callers on ABC and 2SM recently refer to us as Balmain and again, they weren’t corrected by the hosts.

I know people are over the old Magpie, Balmain battle but I just think it’s a matter of cultural sensitivity. If our unique club is going to grow successfully as a joint venture enterprise then the use of language is important. If one group is being left behind, or even just feels they are being left behind, isn’t it in everyone’s interests to make an effort to address any imbalance. I see it as embracing inclusivity. It’s common sense.
