Wests Tigers have put in too many years of promotion and branding creation to throw it away. Western Suburbs Magpies will never be the first grade side, so we can forget about that. What I can see happening, is the "Wests Tigers" name and logo will stay, but the identity will be far more Wests influenced than before.
We've already started to see the effects of this, the 2015 kit is very much a Wests-influenced kit, more than previous years: the shoulder magpie is bigger than previous years, there's no orange away jersey, and the training jersey has a huge magpie on the back, bigger than any magpie on any piece of Wests Tigers kit, ever. Even the promotional material has changed, the website is predominantly black, and other flyers I've seen getting about have more emphasis on black than before.
The 'Tiger' branding is here to stay, but the 'Wests' identity is starting to take a greater hold
