Hmm.. Just noticed Sheens named Lote @ 2 and Beau @ 5…will it be the case like Tui and Lortay plays outside Lawry or wtll it be Ryan....

Anyone follow Union can tell me what side of the field Lord Lote usually plays?

If Ryan is outside Lawrence ...I'm getting on for FTS/LTS double....

The numbers on their backs mean nothing.
I'd say Ryan will stay on the right side with Ayshford and Lote will play left outside Lawrence.

Yeah …I know the numbers mean nothing..Just like Ellis in 12 but he plays left...For some reason though I have visions of Lortay playing on the Right in Rugga and League......

TBH I barely watch Yawnion so I dont know what he played there but from a few highlights I've seen from his time in the UK I think youre right and he's been more down the right side. Regardless I'd be keeping him on the left as Lawrence would be able to feed him better ball then Ayshford … no offence to Ayshford but Tuqiri will be a similar player to Tuiaki so it makes sense IMO

Well I could have gone to a scenario that would make your head possibly explode. That being that Marshall is not 100% and as such Sheens is carrying Fitzy on the bench just in case :slight_smile:

If that is why Fitzy is on the interchange they should have chosen Blake Lazarus.

Good team on paper strong from 1-13… bench is pretty good... remember guys first 5 rounds or so is the little mans game!! The fowards arent at peak fitness leavels untill they get some matches under there belt, thus having a smaller bench i reckon is beneficial to us. Manly carrying a big pack up front with georgey rose on the bench means they will last 10mins and then die in there asses!!!

Foran will be interesting to watch, see how he performs, hopefully Gibbsy, Fulton and co, smack him early and let him know what the NRL is all about, pressure his kicks from the start and don't let him get a groove happening. Also i reckon Tony Williams at centre is a major risk by the sea eagles, hes big yes, but defence is mediocre at the best of times, i say attack him at every oppurtunity!

In his time at Leicester, Lote played on the right wing.

I just hope he remembers to hang onto the ball when tackled and doesn't try to set the ball back for second phase play….lol.

Agree that Tony Williams should be targeted at every opportunity.

Tony Williams is definitely a risk in the centres. Get Ellis, Lawrence and Tuqiri running at him :slight_smile:

Mate, no one will be eating their words because he scores the last try….the only way that will happen is if he plays like a first grader every time he plays first grade. Which unfortuanately could be often seeing Sheens loves him like a son.

If he does score the last try I can guarantee it won't be from making a break or using fleet foot work to step past Manly defenders. It will be catching the ball a meter out and falling over the line. TBH I expected Fitzhenry to be there but that never makes it any easier when you are still seeing the name in the team sheet in 2010.

Can't wait to see Lui with the 7 on his back after a big pre-season. If I see Fitzy come on to replace Lui with Marshall moving to halfback and Fitzy going to five-eigth I wil dead set give it away. More realistically though he is there to cover Lote in the dying 10-15min.

The bench dont really thrill me though...like I thibnk Hybrid said...fitz & flanno basically there for the same reason....maybe a seasonal decision though it IS a night game

I am haviing troubles understanding the selection of Liam Fulton in the 2nd Row and Heighnington at Lock. Maybe they will shift around a bit when packing in scrums?
Fitzy and Flanagan on the bench feels like deja vu when it comes to small Wests Tigers sides and throw in Liam Fulton!
Robert Lui at 1/2 back instead of Moltzen and Brown at Full-back? I guess after Monday night we will know some of the answers for our 2010 prospects.

other than the wasted (but completely obvious & expected) selection in fitzhenry it's a side i'm pretty happy with.
fitzhenry is a better selection than brown or daniella but thats not saying much. Personally I would have liked to see Mataka or Schirnack there but thats life

Here we go! Lol. Year of the Tiger or Year of the Fitzy? Let it go Sheens. Yes, he scored a Grand Final try but my lasting memories of Fitzhenry is the fumble-the-bomb-athon vs Dragons in 2004\. Some thing I still have nightmares about and I'm sure Fitzy does too. I agree when most say that bench spot should have gone to another forward or someone like Blake Lazarus. Hopefully Lazzo proves himself this season on the NSW Cup and breaks his way onto the bench, or to fullback :wink:
