Dwyer is a waste.

It has been good to blood a future talent into first grade but lets actually get serious.

He made a series of good tackles and a good tackle on Thurston V the Cows and really was hardly noticeable out there on Sunday.

Bringing in an explosive player for a bench spot against Manly is a must. This is where Akeripa or Gower would shine. They run hard and do damage to a defensive line as well as being strong defenders.
>
When Galea went off on Sunday and Dwyer took his place that edge became a bit of a shambles as did the ruck to that side.

Dwyer has talent and we have been able to blood him when we have been out in front but it is time to get serious

I thought he was a bit better than that. I haven't seen Gower or Akeripa but know there are big wraps on them. If they are that good then I would completely agree. Always good to have a great impact runner, as long as they can cut it in defense too.

Wouldn't be surprised if KG doesn't line up again. Yesterday on the official site in the injury update section I think he was listed as coming back Rd21.. now it says Rd22\. 😕

Doh!!

I'll be interested to see if that's the same Wests team that runs out next Monday night. Another week with the same and right combination of players in the 1,6,7 & 9\. How refreshing. Carn' Tige's!! LIFT

I am kind of glad Laurie is not in the side.

He provides some impact but at the cost of alot of stupid positional play and brain explosions. Manly on the other hand have damaging players who are able to keep their heads. Laurie seems to want to prove himself with big hits where we need a workmanlike performance

I get where your coming from on Laurie but seriously as you put it in your previous post, we need MUSCLE not young kids coming of the bench.
I really think in a game against a moster pack we need someone that won't take a backward step.

Remember last year Smeg - the only bloke that stood up against that pack was Laurie.

I think it's a big mistake going in with Dwyer and the other young bloke.

hoping to be proven wrong.

Yes players get injured …but unfortunatly no matter how talented you are if your body can,t stand the rigers of week to week footy ? Big Red didn't play a large part of last season as well now 12 weeks out!!! Big $$$ Same as Collis never on the field this does nobody any good.

Al Schirnack is not a young bloke for a start.

Laurie arcs up and cannot control himself. The theatre of the Moi Moi incident was all well and good. But he looses focus too easily for mine. That and his unforgiveable leaning against the goal post in Melbourne rather than advancing with the rest of the defensive line still irks me.

Add to this he is easily targetted by any half decent hooker which Ballin is and that the reffs single him out because of his size and nature of uncontrolled aggression and he becomes a liability.

Just my thoughts though

I think we need Laurie as well. Laurie went ballistic against the warriors pack and we need that aggression.

At the very least we need some impact off the bench. Skando / Shirnak & Dwyer all may be good solid footballers but I think we need something extra especially against Manly.

Still 3 weeks in a row of having two halves play in the halves and both of them add a lot of spark.

Collis should not be 18th man…..It scares me that he is even listed.
I dont mind Schirnack however I think we lack a little firepower off the bench. Just something that can spark us for this game and I dont mean Johnny Morris although he has been good for us over the past few weeks off the bench.
Would love see Apkirka off the bench to give us that szie, power and speed. Just something different.

From all reports Daine needs to apply himself better in State Cup.Until he shows commitment to the cause when times are tough for him then i dont have issues with him being left out.

Oh wow, Galloway to return when our season is definately over, don't advertise his return sheens if u know he won't be here the following week… Deadset goose.

I agree on Daine when you get dropped for what ever reason you knuckle down and fight your way back to the top grade maybe time to Man up!..I'm thinking Young Dweyer will be way out of his Depth Monday night has played Quite well over the last couple of weeks and had a taste looks the goods down the track . All players on the bench will have to get a lot of game time agianst Manly not 10 min at the end ..don't know what the Coach is thinking there.

im sure there is no one more frustrated than the man himself.
to think he dislocated his knee cap, took a needle and ran back out there to do it again, it really doesnt suprise me that a bloke his size and weight would be out for this long.

I think it only slipped though - basically it didn't come out. I have no idea why it is taken so long.

Must be true…it's Bryce

Just on the side this week....Sheens is obviously reluctant to change a winning side...More size off the bench would have been nice but Sheens has the side travelling nicely so stick with what's been working....

Collis there to cover Lawrence I'd say....Hope I see him run out for Wests on Saturday....

Unfortunately this inconsistent aggression comes at a high penalty price most of the time. He needs to learn how to balance aggression with discipline.
