Sheens is a coach not a doctor. Obviously Sheens was told a few weeks ago that Galloway would be back. The fact he hasnt played is not Sheens' fault. I actually am happy they are not rushing the big fella back. Given his size he is the type of player that could have lingering injury problems if not handled properly. Lets wait until he is right. I am not giving up on this year (at least yet) but I still think next year is building to be an exciting year for this club.

lol yeh i read last week he was due back rd 21.

If ever there was a week we need him, its this week because our pack normally struggles against theirs.
 
My money is Galloway will be a late inclusion.

Sheens did a similar thing in a big game at the back end of 2007 against the Roosters. Didn't name Payten and Hodgo on Tuesday and they were always going to play.
 
I'm happy with our side except for Ryan who I don't believe is first grade standard but because he has now played a number of games in the top team is probably our best choice for the remainder of this year. At least he is a goer and puts in for the full eighty minutes. I also do not believe that anyone should be dropped to allow Laurie to get a game. This team won't let us down, they are starting to get nice little combos going and I am looking forward to the two points being added to our ledger. :smiley:

That has to go down as the funniest post of the new forum…..You certainly make me laugh everytime BB....for a start Heighington and Galloway still aren't ready so you need to find replacements for them.......You named Collis in the side ....Sheens has him on standby...so the only difference I see from your horses for courses side and Sheens line up is Daine Laurie....So if we put him in Manly won't towell us by 40.....Yeah right...

Bugger!!! I was hoping for a team of the starting 13 plus a bench of Galloway, Heighno, Skando and Morris - a 17 that i think would test Manly out.

Huh? well replacing the defensive Power of Heighington and the Attacking go-forward power of Galloway would be power players like perhaps Gower and or Akeripa . . . .

My side was picked when we thought they might be available. Obviously they are not. You aren't the sharpest tool are you Geo??

Akeripa and Gower who havent played a first grade game against a massive Manly side Vs a team thats gelled over the last month of football….. been working for each other with pride and passion....Yep you are 100% right Bug.... I'm not the sharpest tool
 
Yes I am…..believe it or not....i love what he has to say.....He is passionate and his love of Wests Tigers is obvious.....He wouldn't get so cranky if he didn't care so much would he....

Geo please keep your comments at something I can disagree with . . . .

Now, back on topic, We need to smash King, Watmough, Perry etc. Do we start with a shuffled line up? For example Benji on the bench, Farah at 5/8 and Morris at hooker ??? We need to start well defensively.

It is a theory that has merit, but in all honesty Sheens would never consider it.
 
Ive heard from people in the know Galloway is struggling big time and the Wests Tigers honestly have no idea what hte problem is. He cant even run yet.

From that source they dont actually think he will be back this season.
 
If one lesson is learnt from all of this, it should be never risk a player of the standing of Galloway in a mid-season game when he has already gone from the field injured. Dead set the guy was our best at the time and should have been given an early shower. I truly believe if Galloway had only missed 1-3 games this would be a much more successful season.

Hmmm. I spoke to Skandalis last friday night and he was quite confident that Galloway and Heighnington would both be back for the Manly clash and was unsure where it would leave him. Shift Sheens Smokescreen anyone? As said earlier. I'll be very surprised if the Wests team that has been named is infact the same team that runs out next Monday night.
 
Good unchanged lineup.

I was hoping Galloway was going to be named in the side to bolster our forward pack buy looks like he is still strugling with injury.
