Over on Green and Gold rugby forum, a massive union forum, someone stared a thread saying that Wests Tigers have signed a bloke called John Grant, ive never heard of him so i assume hes playing club rugby in Sydney. They reckon hes quick and has a big boot so he would play wing or fullback…

i found this about him as well big boy and he can run just hope his defence is good  http://www.rugbynews.org/sport/rugbynews.nsf/0/9AF68C2A9E489A02CA25788C0046F0A0

Awesome. Don't know much about him but I do know he'd be close to the fastest player in league.

reading the blog it appears john grant has a problem with either defence or been tackled, will be interesting to se how he goes. and it says he is related to grant the former tigers winger.

Interesting. Looks like he's got the attack. Hopefully he can defend.
Couple of inches taller as well as faster than Hayne by the look of the gatorade race.
That sort of speed backing up through the ruck could be dynamite.

Maybe this is the outside back signing, not vidot!?

I'm excited by this one… Could be another genius union signing from the supercoach. If only there was another tui...

if u want to see him play check out the shute shield on abc at 3.00pm on sat, every week. eastwood get a few games on there.

I hope this true.

I watch plenty of Shute Shield and this guy is the goods. He hits like a truck in defence and can fly.

The only issue would be that the Shute Shield and the NRL are poles apart but he certainly has the natural talent to make it.

I know a few boys that have played with and against him they say he's lightning but has the heart the size of a pea.

I have seen him play in the Shute Shield and he goes good but like said previously its a lot different to the NRL. Most local A grade rugby league sides would be at the top of the Shute Shield ladde.r

I know a couple of the Woodies boys and they really rate him.

If you think that some of Tim Sheens selections are tricky to work out, you ain't seen nothing when it comes to Rugby selections.

Had a couple of injuries at really inopportune times and that meant he kept getting overlooked when it came to the Waratahs and the Brumbies.

As I said the NRL and the Shute Shield are poles apart and he'll be a small fish in a very big pond but he certainly has the natural attributes to make it.

That's a pretty big call….

I don't think they'd be too many A grade league sides who'd be on top of the Shute Shield. But then again ignorance is bliss....

I'd be interested in knowing the boys who played with and against who think he's got a heart like a pea. If Matt Burke says that he rates John Grant then I think that is a fair enough recommendation for me.
